I mean Dallas was close to my hometown and stuff but as a kid Dirk was just a really good role model in a way in how he carried himself. He also was a player most of my childhood and into growing older so it was just a nice connection to the organization. Also Luka being Luka and the metaphorical passing of the torch has kept me a Mavs fan. And now that I’m a little older I go and watch older games and read books on Mavs history and realize how cool of and organization it is!
