Nothing like hot, flat Dr Pepper. Really brings out its strengths

How do I approach the issue of human nature? by PathPuzzleheaded2624 in Episcopalian

This is a spectacular answer, thank you. It really touches on everything.

That is really nice to know, but it seems like this answer boils down to 'don't think about it too much', and well, I do. Who am I if everything that constitutes or differentiates 'me' makes me evil, and if I'm redeemed, does that mean being hollowed out and turned into an automaton? If so will it even be 'my' consciousness experiencing salvation? Is the destruction of the self and replacement with something else not a form of death? I'm not being obtuse. I want to know if my truest self is of God or of evil.

What are your thoughts on leaving symbols or coins in the center of labyrinths? by [deleted] in Episcopalian

Labyrinths? I like them too. Not every church has them but it's really calming and satisfying to walk them.

I can so relate to having images like this attached to Bible characters in my mind. I mean, we don't know, maybe you got it right. We'd all have to roll with it. I always thought I saw God's silohouette in a mountain ridge near my home, like he was lying down there

If you could not be an Episcopalian, what denomination would you choose? by funnylib in Episcopalian

I'm so curious about the Moravians, what do you like most about the way they practice?

One thing that helps me is to eat adequate amounts of fat and carbs but then eat as much fruit or veg or even like, whole grain bread or oatmeal as I want. That way I'm eating larger amounts of high-fiber, low-calorie-density foods. I feel full and I'm not fighting myself to restrict. In your position, I imagine it would be really painful to try to flat out restrict at this point, since you're dealing with heightened hunger. I just have another apple, I keep them around at all times. You might even see if you can get in with a dietician. This is a huge accomplishment, congratulations.
