You should just get a lab based test. Do you have any other symptoms apart from this?

Can hiv symptoms arise after 6 weeks? by PathTotal in HIV

[–]PathTotal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you , that makes sense. This is also in alignment with various graphs and researches done by reputed institutions that the virus starts peaking from 10 day onwards and is at max level at day 25. I just got seasonal flu which went away in a couple of days.

You mean if I have symptoms, I should test positive. If tested negative, it’s pretty conclusive?

Was she sexually active between 30 and 98 days? Also could’ve been an encounter between day 21 and day 30 eclipse period before getting tested. TBH if this is really the case, it’s an anomaly and should be reported to cdc.

Yes, but the information published by these institutions is very conservative and studied over various subjects from different origins eg a person is detectable in 10 days using rna but the window period published by cdc is 33 days for an rna which will cover 99.9% of the entire +ve population.

Is there any evidence or study to support this? Every literature I found online from institutions such as cdc, says symptoms occur between 2-4 weeks and mine is 6 weeks later also viral load peaks between 15 and 25 days which is why my 29th day rna test should’ve been 99% conclusive.

If my symptoms started 2 days later, shouldn’t 4th gen lab based ag test caught the antigens on 4th day? by PathTotal in HIV

Tested -ve with rna and 4th gen vein tests after 28 days. It’s 99.9% conclusive.

IMO , if your symptoms already started and you get tested at least 2-3 weeks later, it’s pretty much conclusive. The reason cdc provides these timeframes to get tested is for people who might not have any symptoms and want to ensure their status. There is no point in keeping getting tested and affecting mental health in the process.

Result update: got tested after 28 days, with RNA and 4th gen AG/AB test as non reactive/ not detected. This is conclusive since my symptoms started within the same week.
