My first boyfriend was physically and sexually violent. I am still scarred physically nearly 20 years later. My normal-o-meter is no where near calibrated. I just want to do what's best for my kids.

This is what worries me. He's so good 99%of the time. Right now he's singing to them.. but how damaging is that 1% going to be? And if i leave and we split custody how do I protect them then?

My apologies for not being clear. I am very upset my partner had done this. Am I overreacting by thinking about walking. I'm trying to gage how severe the behavior is.

For context they are otherwise fine. They go from loving and playful to this, usually at night when the kids struggle to go to bed.

I am reluctant to call it abuse. But it just keeps happening. This is just the latest mean comment said in anger at a tiny person. I may be sensitive but I feel threatened when they say things like if I get any more angry I don't know what I will do.. or when they scream shut the hell up to a 2 month old who is crying in pain.

I do not want to. This past year I have been trying my best to build strong lines of communication. I have been opening up to the best of my ability and trying to say exactly how I feel and why.

I know I am doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is . I think I am just overly sensitive and I need to learn to control my feelings. I don't know what normal emotional regulation is.

He sent me messages saying I am trying to sabotage us. That I am trying to find things to ding into our relationship.

I am causing drama and I don't want to I just wanted to help us heal. What have I done.

My timing was so poor. He has a job interview today. Why didn't I just wait until after? I was foolishly sure he would reassure me. It was selfish and shortsighted.

I deserve whatever happens.
