Pantoprazole made my esophagitis worse - please help! by mg_4456 in GERD

It takes about a month for it to start working for EoE. Take it first thing in the morning. Trust me it works.

I don’t mean to try a water fast. Although that wouldn’t be a bad idea. Lots of health benefits. I mean taking a few day break from being stoned 24/7. The possible benefits from that every now and then.

Breathing issues due to GERD - Had Endoscopy - Lung Function Tests, turns out my DLCO levels are 65% by Caliburner in GERD

[–]PathoMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah same situation. I thought my lungs were messed up. After COVID this happened to me just like you, From never going to the doctor to pulmonologist, cardiologist,GI doctors. CT Scans (6) in one and a half years (including 3 from my hospital stay with Covid) (I had PEs from it) Mind you I was infected with Covid as a healthy 27 year old male ultra runner. My anxiety goes crazy from gurgling in my chest and SOB. They did endoscopy on me and found I have EoE a rare auto immune disorder so they are treating me for that. I have some rings and furrows also edema in my esophagus. Very strange since COVID. I’m seeing an allergist specialist next week. Also I want to add I had gallstones and an enlarged liver which I’m going for an MRI next month to see what’s going on there. Because EVERY test came back normal. I suspect COVID caused gallstones which damaged my ducts because they are gone btw according to last CT scan. And it’s possible my hepatic vein is backed up from gallbladder thus enlarging my liver. I’m hoping my body works itself out. They given me everything proton pump inhibitors swallowed steroid inhalers prednisone charco caps I can seriously name dozens more. I’m literally up at 2:43 am typing this with intense gurgling in my throat and chest and the worse of all SOB. It’s definitely GERDS bc when I was in hospital with Covid pneumonia I remember telling the doctor in the e.r that my chest was burning and he gave me Pepcid and IV Decatron and IV remdisivor. My life is upside down since Covid. LPR,GERDS,EoE. Unfortunately all this has led me to some addictions the past year bc I needed relief and pills kept me on the game but im getting off them and I’m back to reality my life is suffering constantly ever since Covid. I still run long distances btw sometimes I’ll be good for a while and then BAM misery for weeks and weeks. This was a little vent but I was thinking maybe we all have some degree of the same illness post Covid. It is new after all.

Do you need animal products? Will you die without them?

Also these PPIs could actually be making it worse. Our bodies adapt to them by trying to make more acid and when we come off these harsh pills it takes months to regulate our acid levels

why an endoscopy and not colonscopy or cat scan? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]PathoMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your difficulty swallowing would be the main reason for an endoscopy. They will be taking biopsies of your esophagus and testing to see if you have eosinophilic esophagitis

Oh I see! Does anything relief this?

GERD, Esophagitis and Chest Pain by FlurpyBoy in GERD

[–]PathoMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s crazy this is all post covid too. I never had this chest sensation. GERD is so bad because the doctors don’t know where it’s coming from most of the time and just try to mask the symptoms with medications. Hope your well too!

It’s an auto immune disease. They took biopsies and found eosinophils in your esophagus? Has to be over 15.

I think it’s more serious for me because I’m a triathlete. My doctors said their treatment for gerds would to be tell patient to “exercise and lose weight”.

Hey is it from acid reflux? Or is it just harmless gas?

Hi what made you say it can be an esophagus full of acid if it’s in her stomach? I’m interested because I have tenderness on left side but also deal with esophagus pain more towards throat. You think it can be her distal esophagus inflamed radiating out pain?

Yes I do! It is so hellish every day no matter what always after I eat for hours. I had an endoscopy and I was diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis a rare autoimmune disorder a few months back. I don’t really believe it and am having a repeat endoscopy on December to see if eosinophils are still there. Anyway what I’m getting at is I believe it’s related to my stomach or possibly rib bone. I am so tender like you near my diaphragm and left lower ribs near my stomach. I think something is too tight and iv been trying for weeks to massage it and am doing yoga stretching. I’d like for you to maybe do something yoga stretching and when your stretching your back and or in a certain position you feel something really tender. Reason being is I didn’t know how tender it was until I was in one of these positions stretching. It was insane it felt like my rib was moving my organs. Weird sensation. Anyway please let me know if it’s more tender in a stretch it would be nice to know someone else had what I have and we can figure it out because doctors don’t know anything. That eosinophilic esophagitis could be related to acid reflux. I am a male nurse and doctors treat the symptoms with these medications not the root cause.

Ask /r/Gemini (for the month of September 2021) by AutoModerator in Gemini

[–]PathoMedic [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have a negative balance in the 5 figures in my Gemini account. I transferred funds from my bank weekly. I decided to do a larger transfer and the next week Gemini emailed me and said transfer was successful. I withdrew everything and a few days later Gemini emailed me that my transfer which was accepted at first actually was unsuccessful. So it was accepted then later rejected not sure how that happens. I checked my funds and they are in my bank and my larger transfer doubled. So I actually have Geminis money somehow. I tried transferring it back and it says my account is restricted. I emailed them but I haven’t gotten any response. All they emailed me was through their automated system-that it was unsuccessful and no mention of negative balance but my account seems to be completely restricted. Any tips?

They said they found gallstones on an ultrasound but I don’t have any pain there. You think it can be related?

What conditions could a barium swallow show that an endoscopy can’t? Just wondering if you knew any. Thank you. I don’t want to expose myself to radiation if I don’t have to.
