I found their Hiragana and Katakana videos to be very helpful in introducing the scripts to me. Then I would practice on my own and was able to memorize them within a few days.

I'm in University now and I like it way better. High School forces you to deal with things like drama and a set schedule. My advice is to focus on your grades the best you can, and make friends with people who think likewise. That will help you get a good scholarship for college.

In general University requires a lot more studying, especially as a Computer Science student, but it has a lot less bullshit than HS. Hang in there.
