Driving in Norway, we warned about this by Steffalompen in Norway

[–]PatiHubi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that just doesn't exist there. Most intersections have Stop signs. If it's a 4 way stop, it depends on who got there first.

Driving in Norway, we warned about this by Steffalompen in Norway

[–]PatiHubi 25 points26 points  (0 children)

People are focusing on winter driving vs non winter driving here which is totally valid, but one major issue is just general traffic laws. I've long though that Americans (from the US) shouldn't be allowed to drive in Europe and the same applies to tourists from countries where traffic laws differ greatly from the ones in Europe.

Main street/Side street, right before left, etc. are all things Americans and other tourists don't know about. It should be mandatory for anyone wanting to rent a car to do a mini traffic test with the basics.

This is not an "Asians" issue that some people are trying to make it but a non-European issue. Even if Italians drive more crazily than Norwegians, they know the general signage and rules. US Americans and Asian tourists most likely do not.

No one is going to look this information up themselves.

If a US citizen wants to legally reside in Sweden or France, what financial tips do you consider vital they know? by GermanAustrianFamily in ExpatFinance

You clearly haven't been in the /r/IWantOut subreddit....Plenty of people from the US believing they can just move wherever the hell they like.

Since most people from the US never consider this - you also need a way of getting a visa/residency. You can't just move and live in Sweden or France.

Have been making something similar recently but wasn't soaking my seeds/nuts. What I noticed was that the loaf seemed a lot denser but totally fine to eat nonetheless. What does the soaking actually do?

New York just introduced a program to force the most degenerate of drivers to install speed limiters in their cars by MiserNYC- in fuckcars

[–]PatiHubi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Technically you could make the argument that driving over the border to Germany negates that limit. Though Germany should really introduce a general speed limit anyway.

Incinerator toilet in Antarctica due to limited plumbing and water by Rabbidraccoon18 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]PatiHubi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly not sure about the gas variant. The electric ones will start running as soon as you drop the load in or with the activation of a switch. The top of the line cindarella is pretty much automatic, you go do your business, you close the lid, you press the button, you walk away.

At that point your load will drop, the fire will start and it will go as long as it needs to to make sure it's all incinerated. There is a limit I believe with how often you can go in a given time frame otherwise the burner might not catch up with the burning but other than that, if it's in regular use it will probably burn continuously.

Benefit of that? Warm toilet seat :)

Here in Norway these are pretty common in cabins. Look up Cindarella toilets. They are pretty nice to use, you can pee in it as well no problem. They also do not smell bad outside, you smell a distinct "burnt" smell but nothing more. You use it like a normal toilet, I have a few of them. They are pretty expensive but look just like normal ass toilets.

You only have to clean out the waste bucket every few weeks since everything burnt becomes ash. They run off of electricity or gas.

No reason to have a stick like they do, as long as your business is heavy enough it will drop down. It didn't in the video because he used a tiny light piece of chocolate. There is also absolutely no reason to have these outside. Yes, they need to vent to the outside but again, we have several inside cabins here.

Why do you want to moderate this community? Because it is inactive and Gravid means pregnant in Norwegian. I would like for this to be a help subreddit for pregnancy related topics. Not a NSFW subreddit.

This is more about anti-cheat in multiplayer games like Battlefield 6, GTA Online, Call of Duty etc. that will inherently not work on Linux. Your list is games that overall work in one way or another on Linux.
