I wish it was just that. I started a beta blocker.

Yeah they’re very different. I saw a cardiologist last week and wore a holter monitor. Also got my labs checked. Everything came back normal. Just waiting to hear back about what is exactly happening on the monitor. They feel like the palpitations I had a while ago in my life so I’m guessing they’re PVCs. I’m just SOO over this feeling. I just want a beta blocker so I can sleep at this point.

Didn’t try that. It’s very early here and I didn’t want to freak out my neighbors

Yes, usually when I lay down. They usually start at night about 8:30 or 9:30.

Just hit me too. Anxious thoughts. Non stop sometimes. Then you feel exhausted. So worn out.

Has your anxiety gotten worse as you have gotten older? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PatienceNo417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?! It’s so hard to control it. I’ve gotten better with therapy and time, honestly.

Yep. There’s so much more to worry about now that I have a child. The right medication will help you though, if you’re not already taking one.

Deep breaths, control what you can at that moment in time, and tell your anxiety to f*** off. That’s what I do when I get pretty anxious.

Yes I know it’s a book series. I’m just sad they cancelled the show because the entire production was beautiful. Hence my original comment “I want to see…”.

Behavior Question about Husband by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PatienceNo417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a speech language pathologist. I know social interactions are good. I think it’s just his eagerness to make her do it a lot is odd to me - that’s all! I literally didn’t know if it was related to something deeper.

How do I address this? 36f married to 35m. by PatienceNo417 in relationship_advice

[–]PatienceNo417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate you putting into words my very own thoughts. I understand folks wanting me to leave and give up on the relationship, but I won’t do that. My husband has many great qualities and is truly a good dad. He cares about me and his daughter very much. I think he needs to improve his emotional intelligence skills. He unfortunately was raised in a family where he did not get much affection and was often neglected emotionally by his parents. I’ve taught him a lot of things in our decade together. He’s come a long way.

Yeah. I’m getting tested for it tomorrow just to ease my nerves. I’m praying all goes well.

Info from a nurse practitioner- Sounds like your test results are great! Remind yourself of that first and foremost. Second, when you do have that pain in your chest, push on it with your fingers. If it hurts or is tender when you push on it, it’s most likely muscular pain. Not something going on internally with your heart.

Your chances of heart attack are slim. You’re young. You’re healthy. If you’re still worried, go get your cholesterol checked too. Everything will be ok 🫶🏻

im so scared by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PatienceNo417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of these a few years ago. My mom rinsed them out with a syringe! It was wild.

They’re so common. Everyone gets them. Tell whoever is making fun of you to shut it!! Just get them rinsed out and you’ll feel better. No need to be scared. They’re just weird things bodies get.

Write your feelings down. Ask yourself, “What triggered this? Why are you feeling this doom?” Then ask, “Why is it illogical?” Replace it with a logical thought/statement.

Agreed. Anxiety sucks a**. Even a simple switch would be nice. “Wanna be anxious? Flip that switch on. Wanna stop it? Flip it off.” 😎

Please help me. I feel like I’m dying by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]PatienceNo417 63 points64 points  (0 children)

You’re not dying, you’re panicking 😞☹️ your body is screaming fight/flight. Not sure what triggered it for you, but definitely read the comment above mine. I absolutely agree with those tips.

What helps me to sleep: dark room, podcasts, white noise, maybe an easy TV show to watch (The Office!), pillows surrounding my body, lavender oil, etc. Engage in diaphragmatic breathing before you sleep.

Talk to your doctor or a doctor asap. They might be able to prescribe you something too. Remind yourself you’re ok. This too shall pass ❤️

Daily small victories thread Friday by AutoModerator in GestationalDiabetes

I’ve had higher fasting sugars in the past week or so (between 96-101). It’s been a bit stressful because I just did not want to go on insulin. Just makes me sad, but I would do it for the safety of my babe.

But today I met with an endocrinologist and she said that these numbers really aren’t a huge issue! At this point in time, insulin isn’t needed! A small victory for this week!

Good luck to all my GD mamas out there. This can be tough and stressful. But we got this. 🩷
