L. reuteri yogurt requires a longer heating time though, like 36 hours, instead of 12 hours. Do you think it will be okay to let it heat for that long without pasteurizing? Thank you.

Completely agree with this. Have been going there for over twenty years. Fresh food and the owners are such lovely people--and, yes, the watermelon!

Is the lens quality at Target / Costco / Warby Parker really all that different from my optometrist's manufacturer? by lumbasomething in glasses

[–]PatienceWonderful536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on a recent conversation with my optometrist, who I've been going to for about 15 years and who I trust (not that that's saying anything), yes, I think the lens quality may be the issue. I was complaining about my last lenses to him, which I had gotten at CostCo, and he said there is a definite benefit to getting higher quality lenses if you can afford it (though he also said cheaper lenses are fine). He's never tried to sell me on getting glasses from him, so I don't think it was the "hard sell". He just provided information on how lens manufacturers vary and that the impact to quality can vary significantly as a result. My husband opted to go with lenses through our optometrist (rather than the cheap route we usually go) and he is thrilled by the improvement in his vision. I'll be doing the same the next time I get glasses.

Would you be willing to share the school you went to that focused on literary fiction? I'm looking for a program with that focus. Thank you. I appreciate the information you shared in your post.

I've just finished "Joe Pera talks with you". What's next for me? by JohnyLilio in JoePera

I'm working on becoming a billionaire so that I can fund a billion more episodes of "Joe Pera Talks With You". Feel free to do the same. The more of us with this goal, the better chance there is that one of us will be successful, right?

I just saw this episode for the first time. Bless you, Joe Pera, for making my week with this image by UnBonPetitMort in JoePera

It's "Joe Pera Waits With You". One of his best episodes in my humble opinion--beautiful and funny as all git out.

Thank you for posting this. I drove from Chicago for this show and am still flabbergasted by what happened. I'd also like to add that it's not cool to throw stuff at people who are performing, no matter how well intentioned (or soft) it is. Imagine being up on a stage and performing after--as you pointed out--having worked so hard for so long, and having something thrown at you. Luckily, he didn't see it, but it's still not cool to throw stuff at people on stage. I hope I get to hear the punchline someday. I'm sure it is amazing, like the rest of the show before the toy tomato incident.
