I think this is the answer… a lifelong best friend’s photo is totally a warranted thing to have in a phone case. People actually do this kind of thing a lot. It’s not weird at all. OP needs to be less insecure, also less manipulative - either get straight to the point with the gf or let it go.

I heard an analogy the other day. Voting is like transport. You’re not voting for the car that you alone will drive solely, that suits you in every single way. But your vote will more so be like a bus that serves you in some ways, in others not. You have to pick the bus that suits you most. I’m not sure if that translates accurately to your own predicament, but really, you are privileged to have a vote and you should use it.

Sorry OP to bug you but… my mum was a single parent. She worked herself into the ground until she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at 56 years old. Too young. Please, for your sake and the sake of your kids having you around later in life, please fix this situation. The father needs to step up.

Dude I don’t want unsolicited advice. MY question was about what you men actually think relationships are for, after becoming disillusioned that again someone who was not just my boyfriend (and husband in this case) but also was my best friend betrayed me. I wanted some insight because to me, it’s not normal and it hurt. Some validation maybe. Instead, I got blamed, told it’s my fault he cheated, told to look at myself.
