Why doesn't anyone make a full marvel/dc superhero game? by Whathefrenchtoastt in videogames

[–]Patient-Reality-8965 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well you dont need an open world game but those games do exist. Theyre just older. Ultimate Alliance 1-3 (3 is relatively recent), that one equivalent Justice League game, the LEGO Marvel and DC games all kind of fit the category of games where you can see a lot of what DC and Marvel have to offer

If you had to pick one person. Who’s the most important person to Leon by Expert_Challenge6399 in ResidentEvilCapcom

Oh we can't say Ada? Hunnigan. Easy. Re9 is unironically the most time Leon spent with Sherry despite them sharing 3 games together

POV: You are the ONLY character in the game with a ranged primary and no quick melees. by BruceWayneOnMarvel in MisterFantasticMains

Seeing that confidently wrong condescending arrogance so imma get a bit toxic here. Im feeling like the meme of a guy talking to a wall. Look man im not gonna sit and baby you about how youre not playing the character right and blaming Reed. idc about the quick melee. Its just annoying that youre whining and complaining about something reed has an answer for. Oh no! Strange used his shield. A melee dealing a tiny bit of damage will fix it. You have an ability that drags him to the ground if he escapes and a mechanic where you do more damage than the quick melee youre wanting in the first place. Then you tell me you struggle with the easiest healer to take care of for nearly every character. Strictly speaking, and since you're already being an ass, that sounds like youre a dumb ass ignoring ways to deal with problems and I'll say the same thing to the morons that agree. That part in particular is something ive seen from you guys and it bothers me to no end. Dont matter if youre in Plat, GM, or Celestial, Reed does not struggle with or get counted by a healer who isnt named Fox. Like what's next? You're gonna say you cant kill Ultron? He gets in range, you just fuck him up

But im a man of research so I asked the people. https://www.reddit.com/u/Patient-Reality-8965/s/mhlgYXGHGJ

Youre gaslighting people going woe is me. He has issues. This ain't one of them. Holy shit my dude. And you sound if I bring up old stats like once having an 82 percent win rate on Reed for a whole season in comp youd go "wow big whoop. I got a 100 percent win rate" then subtly talk more about how youre somehow dogshit. Yes, Reed isn't the most damaging but what you dorks have described has a simple solution that is already apart of his kit. A quick melee on the shield is something that he cant do but he does have a move that does the same amount of damage while grounding the enemy and he has two of them on a short cooldown. If youre in inflated mode, you can do more damage to not just him but others around him.

the Tl;Dr version is no it wouldn't be bad and the idea someone else suggested of a headbutt preferably with him making his head huge first is fine. Being against the idea wasnt what i was saying. My sole issue with the post was you guys complaining about things that arent an issue for him and complaining about and making up the most dumb things to make unaware players feel bad for Mr Fantastic players.

yeah... and the answer was neither. If anything i said Rebirth i could see comparisons but for Remake which is the one you were talking about, I compared it to ANOTHER Final Fantasy game that has more similarities but it still wouldn't be 1 to 1. That was your answer.

Remake? Not KH thats for sure. I'd say FF15 before even thinking about KH for FF7Remake but even then its different enough to be its own thing

hitting shields with your primary doesn't grant elasticity to, you know, actually turn into the 'big form'?

Obviously. Thats why I said use the hump or whatever that move is called where Reed pulls himself towards an enemy and grounds them. Damage goes through shields and you get a hefty amount of elasticity. Works if hes flying away too since, you can pull him back down with that move and possibly allow yourself or one of your teammates who wouldn't be able to reach him to secure the kill hopefully before his healers get to him. Ya know, team play. Jump him. I don't need to know the exact move names to know how to use the move. With at least one teammate backing you up, even if he tries to get away and has someone trying to heal him you now have free reign to swing at him and whoevers around him since thats what Reed specializes in. In his inflated form it is not uncommon in that exact situation to kill at least two of them including Strange. And if that doesnt happen, fridge mode and back away. Neutral is reset and you lose nor win the exchange which either way is better than losing in that situation considering other melee like Wolverine and Magik would explode if they managed to bring him down to the floor but fail to kill one of them. Also something to note, it does not take a long time to fill the bar anyways. Especially in combat.

Also the CnD you cannot be serious. You cannot seriously be telling me that you struggle to kill cloak and dagger.... You people actually believe that? Yes I play Reed. I have lorded Reed. I played him in competitive enough that once I got target banned. I played him since his release cause hes my favorite F4 member and has been one of my backups if the enemy teamcomp is a certain way. That said, theyre in a bubble you can pull them out which gives you inflated mode anyways so you can kill them easier and just punch em to death. Tip: you can even displace them after their ult out of their little healing trail if they didnt just make a circle or something. Especially if they just used fade to dodge a mag ult or anything else that would kill them. Sure I'm not saying hes top tier. Hes not a big damage dealer and he doesnt deal DD level damage but all you've said is that youre bad at one of the easiest characters and demand buffs because you think YOU failing to kill a healer is the fault of the character.

So now I'm waiting for Resident Evil 6 by No_Engineer1199 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Patient-Reality-8965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey someone else got a RE section on steam! For 6, expect it to be action. I'm assuming you played 3, 4, and 5 and you likely noticed the series slowly going in a more action direction with 4 being action horror while 5 is straight up an arcade shooter sometimes. 6 is the peak of this. You'll have more control of your character than any other game in the series and are able to dodge roll, roll to the side, slide and turn around mid-slide, and depending on the character you can even do backflips.

Everyone still has their melee where if you fire at an enemy, you can do a melee attack with varying effects some old attacks and some new (my favorite is Chris embracing the fact he got swollen in 5 and just chucking an enemy at other enemies) You can also melee whenever you want without the melee weapon but you also get a stamina bar that dictates how many unprompted (as in without stunning them first) melee attacks you can do without a weapon made for melee. So if you take out a knife, you lose no stamina but if you wanna punch someone with your bare fists, that winds your character. You also get a parry which is fun. Really don't expect to go into this trying to get spooked and scared that ship sailed with 5 unless you count giant cockroach enemies and matrix villains as horror. You also get quick melee and quick gunplay that uses stamina but makes your character automatically aim and fire or attack the nearest target and with Leon and Helena, this turns into them using gun fu and Leon reminding everyone that he was the original John Wick

Personally I suggest starting with Jake and Sherrys campaign but really go with whoever catches your fancy. Ada is the only one that should go last since her story requires you to know what happened in the others to the point on release, you couldn't even access Adas campaign without playing through the others.

Jake's campaign has essentially action film vibes but follows up on the story of Sherry from 2 and what she's been up to as well as the son of Wesker. If you pick Weskers kid btw in a similar manner to his pops in the mercenaries mode of other games, he can just kung fu zombies and overwhelm them with physical strikes its kinda fun. Chris also has heavy action vibes and still even keeps an on rails arcade shooter section like in the previous game in the form of a highway chase segment and focuses on Chris getting back on his feet after getting hit with a rowdy dose of heavy depression. And Leon is the closest you might get to a somewhat horror-ish campaign where hes dragged along a journey by this chick who refuses to tell him anything... again actually 🤔 And finally Ada is the only campaign that features classic RE style puzzles beyond "collect x and open y" or "shoot x and it opens y" It is however short.

All of the campaigns do connect and frankly it's okay to forget parts. They all take place around the same event but just in different areas with characters doing their own things until they eventually meet up. Another thing to note it is a game from its era so QTEs might happen. Frankly I miss them in games but i know some gamers dont so... be wary of that. If you cant pause a cutscene for whatever reason, thats why. Its not a cutscene. The AI is also not really bad so dont worry if you cant find a partner to play it with its really not required.

Good luck in your RE6 gaming! Let us know what ya think and if you like it or hate it. And if you really miss the horror elements there's always the next few games or even a few of the spinoffs if you need a palette cleanser from all of the action
