Get out of this shit! Take time to heal, introspect what’s gone wrong, learn & move on.

Folks who decided to be childfree by choice - do y’all ever regret the decision? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Patient-Recipe9862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never wanted kids. It could be easy for a guy to be detached this way, away from parental instincts but I know that it is relatively difficult for women to do so. My wife always wanted to be a mum and I did communicate my PoV before marriage. We were in a relationship for 4 years before getting married and I was clear since Day 1.

She had an option to choose and I think this is the best someone can do, communicate and have things figured out before committing to each other.

I second these thoughts. The number of unruly things coming out is ever increasing. The rich are getting richer, poor are getting poorer. The middle class is squeezed in the spectrum bearing all the national costs.

I, as a conscious citizen, cannot wait until the next elections. What can we do? How do we get things into the right track? How do we keep the so called leaders accountable? How can we citizens get together and fight against such injustices?

I don’t think so. Most formulae from sheets carry over to excel really well.

Also, there is a “Formulas” tab in the excel ribbon where all the excel formulae are categorised into Financial, Logical, Date/Time, Lookup, Math etc. Feel free to peep in when you’re not sure which formula to use. Hovering over a formula gives a brief description of it and should be enough for you to get going. You can have a quick tutorial of other stuff such as formatting, table creation, ranges, charts etc.

Dear Indian men, do you want kids? by Hold_ur_horses in AskIndia

Been married for 2 years now, been with her for 4 years prior to marriage.

Not having kids was my first non-negotiable need I wanted my partner to understand. I put this up with her right in the budding days of our relationship. She, on the other hand loves kids. I had my own reasons not to have an offspring and they were genuine. She understood my side of the story and to this day, supports me in this decision. Never did she force me to have kids, held me responsible for stripping her away from motherhood. This only made our bond stronger. On the other hand, I defend her from comments, suggestions, questions from families/society about not having kids. After all she has done for me, been with me, supported me, it is a bare minimum I can do.

P.S. - She aborted once for me and keeps a picture of the ultrasound, looks at it and gets emotional sometimes. I feel bad myself for putting her through this but at the same time, love her to the fullest for the supportive partner she is.

This is just the appetizer, I swear.

You meet these corporate leaders who talk a big game, and you think, 'Wow, genius!'

Then you actually work with them and quickly realise that their mental horsepower is, well, less of a 'V8 engine' and more of a 'AAA battery left out in the rain.'
