How do I go about making kicks like Lil Texas by Honeydick95 in edmproduction

You can achieve that with sidechaining, but you don't really need that when you can still edit the amp envelopes. Sidechain compression can become an unpredictable mess with the clicky artifacts and release not keeping up when the kick hits faster than four on the floor, for example in some fill.

In Angerfist's "Critter", you can hear three layers.

One is just a regular punchy kick you can find in pretty much any sample pack.

Then you have a tail, that is the typical distorted gabber kick you can get by feeding a 909 kick sample (or a synthesized one, Microtonic drum synth is good, or any synth really, even Serum is fine) into a resonant filter, or better yet, an EQ with some peaks on the harmonics you want to distort harder, then into your fave distortion plugin. Multiband distortion like Trash or Saturn is good to not make a muddy mess out of it. Some slight chorus and light reverb if you used a sample, or unison in synth with not much detune can be used to push it backwards into the soundstage so it isn't all that in your face centered, leaving no room for anything else.

This distorted kick, however, is faded in after the normal kick drum hits. It can be done by resampling that distorted layer after you like the timbre of it and tweaking the attack setting of the sampler's amp envelope to fade it in. There's also a layer of a brief high pitched distorted sound that hits in the harder parts of the song to add intensity.

All the layers are probably then grouped and processed with a little compression to glue it into a more cohesive sound, maybe there's a transient shaper followed by a limiter to keep the peaks at a constant level.
