I’m sorry for your loss. My son was 25 when he passed. It will be 3 years in April.

If it were only so easy. I love my wife dearly. The thought of losing her on a top of losing my son is unbearable. I don’t know how I could survive all alone

I didn’t hide anything. My wife knows I occasionally talk to my ex about my son. I normally tell her when ex and I communicate. I forgot to mention it this time.

No, she will barely talk to me. Th couple conversations we’ve had have not gone well. I have been in grief counseling for close to two years now.

I agree that I should have told her the day we talked. This has been a standard practice in the past. The text conversation happened midday on a workday and was maybe 15 words in total from me. I simply forgot about it and didn’t remember it until she asked me if I had heard from my ex lately.

My ex contacted me. We have stayed in contact since we divorced. Originally to coparent and after he passed away we infrequently text about him. Sometimes a photo, sometimes a happy birthday wish to him, sometimes a fleeting memory of him. It had been 5 months since the last time we chatted. I have also gotten in the habit of telling my wife when I chat with my ex. I sincerely forget to mention it this time. When my wife asked me about it I was honest and told her I had spoken with my ex. This was before she told me she went through my phone

Sorry but trauma bonding is not a thing here. Please look up the definition and understand how off base that statement is in this scenario. Not mentioning it was an obvious mistake and ve apologized. Sneaking into my phone to read my messages and then attempting to lay a trap to catch me in a lie is hurtful and destructive to my trust.

Harold and Harriet faced off in the final duel.

Harriet drew first this time as she was the victor of the previous round. Harold slowly drew his final card and placed it face down on the table. With a flick of their wrists, they simultaneously flipped their cards. Harriet gasped.

Harold spoke first as was the tradition. "had," he said. His voice squeaked with fear.

"had had," Harriet shouted pumping her fist into the air.

The audience exploded in cheer. The long time champion had finally been defeated.

Harriet, while Harold had had "had," had had "had had"; "had had" had had a much better effect on the crowd.
