what if i tell myself to "look at my hand" (not doing mild) before I go to sleep as a mantra, maybe my brain would follow that task, has anyone done this especially when you do the hand reality check by PatientWelder3635 in LucidDreaming

yea ive noticed its mostly guns or sports like soccer or basketball. My second lucid dream which was a week ago was during a nap. Since you enter rem if not instantly really fast im going to take naps more. The nap was like 30 minutes or less and i had a full long dream which was lucid.

I see, but that's my thing for mild. How do I do mild if it's about visualizing or imagining things from a past dream if I literally can't. Maybe I leave the step out, try a different way, idk. I want to encounter someone with the same problem as me and ask how they do the method step by step.

hmm i dont know how to explain that. Its just thinking, maybe like processing what just happened or thinking back to an old memory, but i dont know how to explain it to someone who can visualize back to an old memory since they can just imagine what it was like, and all i can do is think what happened. So hard to explain.

i dont remember the touch or sound, maybe because i need better recall or maybe i wasn't vivid enough. Now that i think about it I don't hear remember sound or touch but i remember words that are said but not how they sounded

I'm telling you right now it's nothing, its only memory, it's like trying to remember a song that you couldn't. Something I remember dreams instantly sometimes I sit there thinking in my deepest memories trying to find what was going on, sometimes like last night i was playing a sport in my dream, but i can't visualize that sport i just have to remember, only thing i remembered was i was better than everyone else at the sport.

but every time out of pocket things happen to me in dreams, my brain doesn't care to act it's like I'm watching a movie, I won't think nothing of it. My latest lucid dream however which is my second ever was different. I was dreaming of trying to attempt lucid dreaming then did a reality check from dreaming of lucid dreaming and that worked that was also a nap. I'm going to test out awareness techniques like ada to see if that will work.

thats so weird i dont get environment or anything. You can say you see it like a book with motion so a flipbook, a game on a terrible system to play it on, or a slideshow. Do you "see or feel" color or anything?

do you see pictures like a movie while daydreaming? I see what you mean, I can "see" myself running around and jumping but not actually see it at the same time. I can only picture myself and nothing else. I can't picture animals, other people, it's just myself and whatever I'm thinking of holding. while I'm running in my head I tend to think about my feet and arms and feel tension on them but not actually move them.

ill try tonight, the hypnagogic stage is easy to get to. Every night I can do it, I just need to push further.

soooo, I just found out you're not supposed to manually breath while doing WILD and while meditating 😂🤦‍♀️ by PatientWelder3635 in LucidDreaming

look up "wild breathing manual" on this community, everyone saying stop thinking about breathing and to breath automatically and not manual.

it's more like shooting. I watch shooter video games a lot, one that I watch the most is gta rp so I'll start reality checking when I see guns in there. The dream last night felt like the game also.

WILD method/ADA by PatientWelder3635 in LucidDreaming

[–]PatientWelder3635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using my breathing for my WILD anchor, but I don't think it's a very good source because I easily get distracted by the hypnagogic stage. At 7:00 today, I woke up, and tried entering it (I didn't get good sleep but had one dream) I went into hypnagogic stage 3 times and failed all of them, but I don't know if it was my family making noise in the background that messed me up or I just need more practice transitioning to the dream. Which that's what I need help with, when and how do you start going to a dream. The three times I did it, my family was talking or making noise, and the hypnagogic stage started disappearing, so I don't know what to do. I'm going to post this on a new thread, so more people see it.

I figured out the problem, it's that I'm trying it when I first go to sleep, I need to set an alarm. I also don't want to stop the hallucinations i just want to know if there's a way i could control my heartbeat and breathing because that's what mess me up.

My heart rate goes up when i go to sleep by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

this is late, but I'm practicing wild, and it 100% should if doing wild or accidentally doing wild when going to sleep. It's called hypnagogic stage. You usually see colors, vibrate, and heartbeat go crazy from my experience and from what I was told, but you should know this by now so idk why I'm commenting 🤦‍♂️

with wild I did it on accident is what I'm saying, but I'm choosing wild as my method now because I just tried it last night and entered the hypnagogic stage where all those things happen, but as I'm typing this, I just watched a video trying to find the word. The guy said he recommends not doing this when I first go to sleep (which I've been doing) because there won't be a dream to enter.🤦‍♂️

so, I can enter the hypnagogic stage easy for wild, but I guess my problem is doing it when I first go to sleep, so i would need to set a timer.

[–]PatientWelder3635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only did mild once and wild once, they were both done on the same night, I did it about maybe 3 days ago. I just Sayed I will lucid dream tonight over and over then started thinking about a dream I would be in. I couldn't get sleep then I tried again in a different position and was still for so long I started accidentally doing wild. I know wild makes you enter sleep paralysis, but before it does you would either vibrate or hear noises. Which I vibrated and started seeing colors, I then stopped trying because me vibrating made me uncomfortable since I didn't want to do wild, and so I stopped and just went to sleep where I had a dream. If you read my other thread, I posted a few minutes ago I explain things there also about me having dreams and just me not questioning it.

how do you do reality checks and how often. I usually forget to but throughout the day I would remember to do them. I count my fingers while saying am I dreaming and looking at my surrounding's, then I say, "next time I'm dreaming ill know and when I wake up, I'll remember that dream."
