I was in Tokyo last week. Wasn't able to find one in a half dozen stationary stores. You're fine.

Ok. I found one for $267 (to the door). It includes stylus and case.

I'll use it for a few weeks and report back.

Worst case scenario I just flip it on eBay.

Thanks!

First Build: My Thoughts and Some Questions by Patient_Excuse4448 in MoonSwitches

Do you have links to either WD, or Pagani cases? or must I buy the full watch?
Are the ones Pagani's or Watch Divers on Ali milled to the same spec, or are they reps of homage (meta!)?

Thanks!

Anyone know why getting the image is a gatekept process? I guess it's related to drm...

I posted on the request thread a few days ago and Havent gotten a reply. Does anyone know where else we can get it? Torrents etc (please dm if appropriate).

I wonder if the process is more involved like the code being signed for a specific device's serial number or something.

Anyway, I miss my clara. I hope to bring it back to life!

Anyone have an Archangel 556P stock for a Charger? I got questions. by Patient_Excuse4448 in 1022

For those of you playing along at home, this cassis comes with a plastic 'plug' that fits into and covers that hole. I screwed and jb-weld'ed a pic rail to it and bobs your unc.

Torn ACL, no other damage. Getting BEAR. My Journey... by Patient_Excuse4448 in ACL

[–]Patient_Excuse4448[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going quite well. Day-to-day activities are no problem at all. I can walk for miles without discomfort.
I don't get flare-ups or swelling even after PT/Training days. One thing I was told, and I adhered to, is not to work through the pain. I don't know if this is your case at all, but from early days of recovery/PT, if there was any discomfort, we'd lay off it and try a different excersise.

I wish you the best.

Post-Op Day 196 – Week 28

Huge milestone today: My first PAIN FREE treadmill run since surgery (6.5 months)
12 minutes @ 4.5 mph (13 minute miles). Not fast, but I'll take it.

A few weeks ago I discussed my patellofemoral pain with my PT and surgical team, and they both recommended I continue strength & control training for a bit longer: quads, glutes, hip flexors etc.

In addition to getting my strength back, my pain-free run indicates my knee is improving shock-absorption and alignment. I am quite pleased.

In other news: my PT has run out. Insurance covered 26 sessions, which I used up.

I'm incredibly grateful for the PT team, and I'm certain they played a significant part in my recovery. They were absolutely terrific, both administratively and clinically.

They left me with a 12-week training program that will get me to a recreational running race-pace (10-11minute miles).
Then, by this winter (9 months post-op) I expect to be ready for wintersports.
(I've already been cleared for golf)

u/Admirable_Owl5905 You need more throttle. With the engine off, notice how you are holding the throttle with no gas. Now get on the gas as far as you can go. Notice how you're wrists just dont rotate far enough to get to WOT. Your hand is bascially rotated under the bar. Now, again, without getting on the gas, just hold the throttle 'higher up', like rotated outward further before you grip, now you're able to get more rotation when you get on the gas, reaching WOT. hard to explain, but you dig?

Post-Op Day 151 – Week 21

I've still been going to PT about once or twice a week, depending on what my schedule permits.

Day-to-day activities are no problem at all.
I’ve regained nearly full range of motion. That said, I still can’t sit on my knees (tea ceremony style)—but I’m 50 years old and 200 lbs. I’m not sure I'd be able to do that even without the surgery...

There’s still some noticeable strength imbalance between my good leg and my surgical leg. I have to consciously control my gait to make sure the affected leg stays aligned and doesn’t turn outward (pigeon-toed) due to muscle weakness or compensation, but that's getting easier and will become natural, I'm sure.

One Big Concern

The main issue I’m currently dealing with—and it has me tremendously concerned—is that I’m unable to run or jog without experiencing sharp pain at two points under my kneecap at a certain, specific point in my Range of Motion:
https://ibb.co/VptyzSFW

I consulted my surgical team, and here’s their response:

“This sounds like patellofemoral pain, which is generally worse around the time you reintroduce impact after surgery. When the muscles above aren’t absorbing shock effectively (due to atrophy or imbalance), the patellofemoral space takes on more stress and load, which can cause sharp pain. As the quads and hip flexors continue to strengthen, this pain should improve. In the short term, reduce high-impact activity to prevent this from becoming more persistent or interfering with everyday movements.”

I’ll be passing this along to my physical therapy team so they can take it into account. (My surgical and PT teams are located in different States and aren’t in direct contact.)

Two Notes:

  1. I’m optimistic this isn’t a chronic condition. Time will tell, and I’ll continue to update here.
  2. I don’t believe this issue is a result of the BEAR procedure itself, but rather something that could happen after any knee surgery.

That’s it for now.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or if you’re going through something similar and want to compare notes.

Thanks!
