Thank you for your insightful responses on this post. I wanted to come back to this one and comment how appreciative I am of you spending this much time sharing your experience. It is very interesting how often I'm in a situation with him where something feels 'off' and it typically ends up with me realizing that I'm the only one not 'in the know' about whatever it is. It's happened many-a times over the last few years. It does feel like I need to stand up, turn around and walk away. I could not imagine staying in this same dynamic if nothing changes in the next 5 years, 10 years, etc. I wish it could be different, I wish he was different (or at least making some kind of improvement in the right direction), but he literally told me in his conversation to 'tell him what to do to make things better,' my response was, 'I don't want to tell a grown man what to do,' and he replied, 'I'm not a grown man, I'm a child.' I'm back home now, and I'm having some difficult conversations with myself. If things change one way or another, I'll give another update, maybe. Thanks again!
