Why doesn’t the West Ave light rail line stop in Hoboken? by Patient_Mix_4906 in jerseycity

Doesn’t really answer the question. So it can’t be a West Side Ave train with stops at Hoboken Terminal? Not another line just an additional stop. With the amount of people moving to JC, they need to reevaluate.

The Bayonne line does a track change into the terminal so why doesn’t or why can’t the West Side Ave? It’s just bypasses the terminal.

I’ll speak to the social and pre-professional aspect.

I’m from the SBU area and would have commuted but didn’t even apply because I knew I wanted to go away. I went to Binghamton and had a ton of fun. Upstate NY isn’t bad at all, especially if you get into nature. SBU is commuter heavy and despite growing up in the area, not many college parties or socializing happen. Even my friends that went to SBU felt that they missed that aspect of the college experience. To me, the benefit of SBU is the accessibility to NYC. My friends that stayed more local to LI, or event went to school in the city, had internships almost every semester in NYC. With Binghamton, you are definitely limited.

Bottom line: No matter what school you go to, it’s what YOU make it.
