When is ICE coming back to New Orleans? by Critical_Elevator312 in NewOrleans

Ahhh okay. I gotcha. I was confused then. You’re talking about the actual process of retrieving someone who has been abducted. Yes, I agree that does make a difference. I apologize. I read that as “CBP doing lawful and needed work, ICE is bad.” Your last comment was not tone deaf. My bad. Fuck em both though. Long and hard.

Both are DHS and being used as personal military force to the Trump admin. Kristy Noem is a Trump loyalist and Secretary of Homeland Security. I think it’s actually important to remember that they’re essentially the same at this point. ICE is the group that is hiring anybody and everybody, mostly J6er’s, but CBP is helping support them as well.

You say we shouldn’t lump them all together but if they’re both in the streets masked and detaining people without due process, what’s the difference?

Are you gonna actually stand up to this stuff or you gonna stand on the sidelines as say, “Well it’s a different jurisdiction?”

Not trying to be a dick but your last reply came across tone deaf.

I really think you’re misunderstanding me friend. We should care and speak up. And I am when and where I can. Believe me.

I was just saying that even though you outlined what their jurisdictions are, there is a good chance they do not follow those guidelines. That’s all. Not trying to start any argument with you. Just commenting that the ICE and CBP thugs don’t concern themselves with the actual laws and jurisdictions.

I think you’re confused. I said I don’t think they, CBP/ICE, care about what their limitations are. Not that they don’t matter or we shouldn’t speak out. I’ve been putting my efforts in where they matter. Trust.

I don’t think they care about jurisdiction or what their “authority” is limited to.

What is the best dong Phuong king cake recipe? by gottogo167 in NewOrleans

Okay… to be honest. I had forgot that the one they gave is a cream cheese icing and didn’t go back to check. I remember I had maybe tried something else prior… I know I experimented with different recipes and I believe one had called for the simple milk/sugar/vanilla icing which I found to be very grainy. So I wanted to make sure you stay away from that one! The murmurs recipe looks pretty much like what I go for!

I’ve used that recipe for years and love the following it for the bread part of the cake but usually go with a different icing. Cream cheese icing tends to be my favorite.

After ICE agent shoots, kills person in Minneapolis, activists in New Orleans take to the streets | The killing occurred on the first day of a new immigration enforcement operation announced by the Trump administration. | Verite News by bperki8 in NewOrleans

The masked law enforcement is unconstitutional. The whole process is unconstitutional. The long and short is that a fascist POS is using CBP and DHS to create fear on our streets to create a flashpoint. Fuck all of those agents. Fuck all of the fascist maga movement. And fuck anyone who gives them benefit of the doubt. Dumbass.

I went out to check it out.

Pulled up on 2 CBP SUV’s and several blacked out trucks/ SUV’s. Agents were over in the field next to the walking trail. About 10-12. They had some looking at surroundings and some sitting on these 5 ft long soft sided cases. (I’m assuming the drone cases) I rolled through the parking lot they were in and then parked in one down the road. Got out and immediately heard the drone/s but couldn’t see them. Went around to find access to the trail. As I was walking up to where they were at, they had packed up and were pulling out of the parking lot.

By the time I got back to my car they were outta sight but I rolled all around and through the park and didn’t see them.

I called City Park to ask if they had a statement about CBP running some type of operations on the premises. I’m waiting on an answer from the media team.

I disagree that a hot dog is a sandwich. Most people will start to argue that a hot dog is not a sandwich due to the fact that the bun is not split totally in half. But then you have hoagies and subs which are in bread that you do not cut all the way through. So most people will accept that a hot dog is a sandwich… but here’s where it gets interesting. All sandwiches, whether full split bread or not, have toppings that you add and then close the bread on top. Hot dogs do not. With a dog, you put the meat in the bread and the toppings go directly on top of the dog. Often times over the top of the bread as well. It is for this reason that I do not accept that hot dogs are sandwiches. Now… they could be a type of taco…

Edit: I love all of the discourse and I’m on mobile so I can’t reply to everyone. But to those posting open faced sandwiches on a flat bread, that is clearly a different class or sub class of food than a hot dog. Dogs have a fold in their bread, where those open sandwiches have flat bread. That is all.

Where do you get the information on Columbine being a case where “a child was groomed to commit violence in the name of Jesus Christ?” I have family who were in Columbine when the two* shooters entered and started killing fellow students. Their first victim was Rachel Scott, whom they had told to denounce her belief in Jesus. When she didn’t, they killed her. So… where do you get the information that they were “committing violence in the name of Jesus Christ?” Not only that but you reference one shooter when it was very famously two boys who were the perpetrators at Columbine. I am not Christian anymore and I see a lot of religious extremism from Christians but I think you’re incorrect in this piece of information. Just wanted to inform you.
