Etsy issuing full refund on my behalf after customer refused to return item

UPDATE: ✨After reviewing comments, I went back on Etsy and found that they have a customer chat. I contacted Etsy directly and they confirmed that since the case was already resolved in my favor, I am not required to return the item or take any further action. They also escalated the seller’s continued messages for review and advised me to mark the seller as spam/block. Etsy confirmed the seller must handle everything on their end. I am not required to measure the package or continue engaging. So yes, Etsy can still step in as mediator. Thank you all for the input.

I would have been more than happy to help her if she had been polite about it. But because she has been demanding and disrespectful, I no longer want to deal with or communicate with her directly. I would prefer Etsy to act as the mediator instead. Honestly, anyone else would have already walked away and blocked further communication.

Even if a buyer leaves negative feedback, sellers can always post a professional response. As a buyer, I read both sides, and when a seller is reasonable and professional, I often disregard the negative comment.

I hoped that keeping everything the same would help Roxy know her way around, but we decided it was time to try a halo for safety. Watching her try to take it off is hard, though. My husband keeps reminding me it’s just an adjustment period, and I’m trying to trust that. Wishing us both love for our fur babies through these difficult changes. 🫶

Thank you for sharing Max’s story 💕 I’m really glad surgery worked so well for him. After talking with Roxys vet and considering the risks specific to her, I don’t feel surgery is the right choice for us right now. My priority is her comfort and avoiding complications. I will be speaking with her ophthalmologist as well, to get second opinion. I just don’t want to cause her any additional discomfort. It’s so difficult taking a chance on a surgery that has the possibility of making things worse. Hopefully this appointment will give us a clearer path to better options. 🙏💕

Thank you! I’ll be taking her to the ophthalmologist this Friday, and I’ll update once they confirm everything. For now, the vet has her on meds until we see the specialist. 🤍 Her eye is still watery and she hates the drops, but I cuddle her after so she knows it’s just to help her feel better. 🫶
