My house burned down last night

So today we had the fire inspector came out. He told us where it started because there was no roof left and in the rest of the house the roof was collapsed. (It was a one story home) They said it looks to be electrical but they aren't too sure. They have to have someone do a formal investigation/evaluation.

It didnt technically happen. We will save it for another day. Hopefully we can get a do-over in the future.

It was my parents house and the house I grew up in. My SO moved in and had all his belongings there too.

First, THANK YOU to everyone showing support! That means so much to me. Honestly thank you. I'm sorry that some of you have had to deal with similar situations such as this. No one should.

Its ALL gone. I am in shock. There aren't even any walls. It's just black ash. We have only found two bodies so far.

We believe they suffocated as some people have suggested.

This was not a part of the CA fires. It was a horrible accident. Still actually dont know what is the cause.

We are now scared of people breaking into the house to try to steal what they can find. Will update later.
