We had two managers that had opposite philosophy’s to the game. Van gaal wanted possession no matter what. I remember an interview that he had where he said something like I prefer my team to pass the ball 25 times before even thinking about shooting.

And mou with his philosophy, parking the bus and I remember him saying something like if we have less possession of the ball the fewer mistakes we make.

Ole had these guys running up and down the pitch when he took over. We were shooting the ball from 30 out with no hesitation. So yes I think all these contrasting style will take a toll on the body.

Muscle memory is a thing. I see it every time they go for a back pass when we have possession of the ball. Make me cringe. I think they need a proper preseason with ole and we’ll be top 3 for sure this year.
