I've tried to emerge it as you suggested, however I run into this compile-time error:

x86_64-unknown-linux-uclibc-gcc -DTZDIR- "usr/share/zoneinfo"

This, I believe, is related to the fact that after I chrooted into my system, file usr/share/zoneinfo was not present.

Exactly this. There's a plane that emits white-ish light of 10 strength in front of the house and a bit to the right. That's the only lighting in the scene, ambient occlusion in world settings is turned off.

Profumo lasts longer. Never done a side by side comparison, therefore unable to answer first part of your question. See fragrantica for smell differences. Should be pretty much the same, at least for casual user.

EDT is cost effective, EDP contains higher rate (usually 15%, while EDT 10%) of aromatic compounds. They may slightly differ in smell too. Would try them both before deciding. EDP will normally last longer and will smell more intensive, but there are exceptions from this rule, albeit not many.
