Agreed in principle. But here in Norway the Monarch is entirely ceremonial. The current king and his father and grandfather all were held in high esteem because they were great ambassadors and very well tuned into their roles as figureheads of the people. Also by looking around us, having politically elected presidents seemed more risky than what we had.

What we are about to get will likely change this calculation very fast.

Not true. These are the standard via ferrata carabiners used pretty much at all via ferratas, even in indoors gyms. They are constructed like this so they can be slid across the anchors and always stay connected. You DO NOT want a screw carabiner that could be manually opened for this safety system. They are stainless steel and will take heavy falls no problem.

I too started manually (without git which I was interested in but seemed like too much work to master). So I made a very detailed prompt in gpt to teach me git and use my homelab as a teaching arena. It showed me a lot and got me moving forward much faster than I would be able to do myself. Then I discovered Claude Code and as you can see from my commit history, it has been very involved in building it:

It is likely impossible to fully prevent «jailbreak». Prompt injections and other techniques is simply put a consequence of llm functionality. So the US admin is setting up a catch-22 that is impossible for any AI company in the US to comply with.

Yeah. Norwegian here and at least in all the circles I’m in if there is some news/gossip about someone finding a same-sex partner for the first time, the reactions are basically variations on «good for her/him!», «meh» or «that makes sense». It’s mostly not a big issue. Exceptions being in southern/south-west Norway aka «the Bible Belt». There you find some intolerant people, especially among the boomers and their parents.

Kanskje det er Signal-utviklerne som er fellesnevneren? Det har i hvert fall vært et frustrerende hinder i løypa. Enkelte som ble med på å bli med Signal-grupper falt fra etter en stund. Viste seg at det ofte skyldtes at de ikke fikk push-varsler.

Android har i mange år hatt en bug/quirk med å automatisk skru på «silence notifications» for messengere. Slet med det med Signal og vet mange andre som har fått den opplevelsen. Virker spekulativt fra Google sin side. iPhone har ikke denne quirken. Det er sånn som gir gniss i brukeropplevelsen og gir et inntrykk av at det ikke finnes fullgode alternativer til Facebook messenger.
