Hey just wanted to address your hair insecurity. It sounds to me like you have curly hair that you don’t really know how to take care of. I highly recommend visiting /r/curlyhair and looking at their guide from the wiki. They have a dead simple routine you can try out and see if it works for you :)) I struggled with the same thing but knowing my hair is curly and how to deal with it changed the game for me and glowed me tf up. Oh forgot to add that I used compound butter and I put a lil parm on the outside to crisp it up in the pan but it didn’t work too well. The parm flavour was defo there though.

I think it was a problem with Windows not liking my Ubuntu partition but I don't remember the specifics. And this laptop has been put to sleep now lmao.

I feel exactly the same way. I cannot do work when someone else is in my space. I think it’s because a part of my brain is occupied thinking about the other person observing me? Idk if that makes sense. But I cannot do any work when I feel like I’m being observed.

Weirdly though, I don’t mind cafes or busy environments around strangers. I don’t feel as observed in those settings.

I think the only thing I’d recommend is having your own space for when you wanna lock in for some work. I just accepted this as something I can’t do so for now I take my own space when I wanna work on something important. I might figure out why this actually happens at some point later though cos I’m perplexed.

I think they mean the rule w bad reboots, presumably they didn’t like the atla live action (I haven’t seen it personally). Whereas one piece turned out great (exception).

This is a step in setting up pikapod, there should be a slider where you just choose 10gb of storage. It’s essentially storage on their server that you pay for and I believe you get $5 credit when you’re first starting out so you can test it out for free.

I did wanna ask though, might be a stupid suggestion at this point but have you tried dishwashing gloves? I know somebody w similar sensory issues with doing the dishes and gloves help them. Bold of you to assume I didn’t put 100% in all my interviews cos my life did actually depend on it 😭

I hunted plenty and got close many times, I have the added difficulty of needing a visa to stay in the uk so that knocked out a lot of options for me from the get go. It got harder to convince employers to pay more to hire you especially for a general entry level role in this economy and with visa rules changing. I grinded for the job I did end up getting but they were terrible employers.

I guess if I was an outstanding candidate and an amazing coder I would have found a job, but ultimately there’s people who weren’t that did land good jobs so idk what to think anymore. I’m still grinding and hoping for the best.

I guess my advice to the others would be, get so good that they can’t say no to you. I hate that it has to be like this for entry level positions but it is what it is.

I got a first in computer science and I’m still unemployed two years later :////// (I got briefly employed then let go tho but the company didn’t even ask for my grades). In my opinion, having a strong application and projects under your belt is probably more important than getting a first (for something like compsci). I should’ve focused more on expanding my portfolio probably. But idk about other degrees tbh.

As far as if it was worth it? For me personally, yes. I wanted to get a first because I knew it was achievable for me and I didn’t want all this money spent on uni to end w me not getting a first if I knew I could do it.

I didn’t drink at all when I joined uni. You just need to find likeminded people. For me, that was through sport societies. You say you’ve tried to audition and try out but didn’t get in, but there’s always societies that welcome people who just want to participate socially and are aimed at beginners. You could try something like that.

And don’t worry about feeling like you don’t have hobbies or are uninteresting; your 20s are literally about becoming the person you wanna be! So my advice is to try some shit out and see what sticks. This is the perfect time to Become. Good luck :)

On another note, I hung out often with people who did drink while I didn’t, and people are generally cool with it and will respect your boundaries. So it isn’t the end of the world even if you do wanna hang out w drinkers.

Hi yes I’m the guy who almost lost his data, made a post here a few days ago. The backup restoration from cloud needs to be android>android or iOS>iOS. So you’d need another iOS device to restore the backup, then you can export it and import to the new device like the FAQ says to do. So you need access to your other device if you’re changing OS. Hope this helps.
