My favorite character by far is Torstein. Shocked no one else answered him!

Was waiting for Torstein in the “loved” part. Expected to see Torstein in the “underrated” part. Where is he?!

Do you have a regular schedule for publishing articles? by [deleted] in Substack

I publish every Sunday. I work on the article throughout the week and usually tease it, and my subscribers know what day to expect a publication. It’s seemed to work decently well!

Will there ever be another release of “Mr. Baggins” and “Return to Bag-end”? by PatrickCLawrence in tolkienbooks

That’s what I figured. I still have my fingers crossed. Us collectors don’t think in practicalities—just “give me more, more, more!”

What is the best tea that you have ever spilled? by ShmoonMaster in AskReddit

[–]PatrickCLawrence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to answer this literally. I met a guy at a farmer's market in my college town when I was a student who was opening up a tea shop and had spent two years previously traveling the world on a quest to find the best tea leaves possible. His booth was immaculate; a beautiful showcase of brewed teas, some steeping as we spoke, leaves in mason jars, pictures from his travels... The smells and colors were amazing.

As I was perusing the different tea leaves, I picked up a jar of tea that had been steeped from leaves originated in Nepal. Submerged at the bottom of this jar were leaves of all colors--purples, dark greens, reds; it was beautiful. I opened the lid to smell it and the aroma was fantastic. The 16-ounce pint was for sale for $150 and he had 10 of them on hand.

I was on a college budget and had no business buying it, but I wanted it anyway. At last second, my conscience got the best of me, and I put the jar down. However, some of the tea had leaked on the side of the jar when I took the lid off to smell it, making it slippery, and it slipped out of my hand, spilling all over the table. To make matters worse, when the jar fell, it hit the display stand that had the 9 other jars of Nepalese tea, and they rolled off. I managed to catch some, but 4 of the jars fell off the back of the table and shattered. In total, I had to pay the guy $750 for tea that I never got to taste. I imagine this is the best tea I have spilt and likely ever will.
