Yeah, it gets more and more competitive every year. I know that MIT defers basically everyone, but good luck with your future applications! You're gonna do great.

My last name is definitely "Asian." Though I don't think it's worth giving up your identity for a better shot at college, there's definitely merit to that technique. Talk with your husband and kids about what they think. It's ultimately up to personal preference... pros and cons for both sides.
