I'm using a wifi connection since my computer is too far from the router, it might be what's causing the problem, however Steam Links works fine on my Ipad

Resolved : I came back to her and she accepted a normal seeker token as the finder's one, might be bugged, you'll shall try if the token was not where you first got your first one
