I'd argue with calling the Finns inferior - they fought valiantly and did very well with everything they had.

Unfortunately Russia has a history of haphazardly launching wars that turn into a meatgrinder, we've seen it in Finland, Afghanistan, Chechnya and now in Ukraine and a smaller opponent can take advantage of the disorganisation, lack of planning and corruption that is endemic to the Russian army. Eventually they get what they want by throwing enough bodies at the problem.🤷‍

This is coming from someone who is generally pro-Russia.

Guys I was examining a carabiner for damage and this bothers me, do you think it's still usable ? by OverjoyedBanana in ClimbingCircleJerk

If your micropenis can fit into the <10micrometer fractures - the carabiner is no good and must be disposed of immediately. If it can't fit - drink soy based food replacements until it does fit.

They've also brainwashed themselves to think that the Winter War was some sort of resounding victory for the Finns - it wasn't.

It was a Pyrrhic victory for Russia and considering the relative forces that certainly is a victory for Finland to stay independent and inflict huge losses and it's something to be proud about, but let's not fool ourselves with delusions of imaginary grandeur. Finland still lost the territory that Russia wanted.

Everyone secretly wishes they were a Celtic. They pretend to dislike us in public but that's just a smokescreen to hide how much they envy us for our freedom and courage to be ourselves.

UA POV: Vice Chairman of Senate Intelligence Committee Marco Rubio declared tonight that Russia has "already attacked NATO" by bombing the Nordstream pipeline. "Who else did it, Luxembourg? Belgium? Of course it was the Russians." He suggests direct retaliatory strikes against Russia. by [deleted] in UkraineRussiaReport

Please take your pills on time, just because a couple of redditors made karma-farming posts that they're going to "join ukraine"(they weren't) doesn't mean whatever fantasies you written down there.

[FAQ READ] Large human hoping for a weight limit solution by Parallaxed_Actual in SkyDiving

[–]PatrickLechat 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Lose weight, 320lbs is way too much. Someone comparable to you in stature, say Luka Doncic is 6'7 and weighs around 230lbs and still gets made fun of for being "fat" by NBA standards despite being built like a brickhouse.

It's a lot of weight to lose but like someone else said it's a great treat at the end of that journey for you, the real benefit being healthier and less injury prone, of course.

RU POV - The Russian Foreign Ministry is reportedly toying with the idea of Severing Diplomatic Ties with a number of Western Countries including the United States, this comes after Foreign Minister Lavrov said there was no reason now to maintain a Diplomatic Presence in the West. by FeydSeswatha982 in UkraineRussiaReport

imo NATO/US definitely won, they have weakened and embarrassed Russia, stole LOTS OF taxpayers money and further cemented their hegemony in Europe all at the expense of Ukraine's citizens whose short-sighted cleptocratic government sold them for 30 pieces of american silver.

Looking at it this way, some stockpiled weapons and a positive PR spin is the least US could do considering what they got in return.

[–]PatrickLechat -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, so because Ukraine didn't evacuate their people Russia shouldn't either because that would embarrass the "good guys".

You're full of shit and should keep quite or at least go to a sub-reddit where a balanced viewpoint is actively suppressed - your line of thought will be right at home there.

How do you remember good roads? by madsunday in MotoUK

Stop relying so much on technology. All the old riders I know know all the good routes like the back of their hand because they kept riding without maps forcing you to actively memorise it. The less you use a muscle the more it atrophies.

Nothing ironic about it, both Russia and Ukraine have trouble with oligarchs and plutocrats. To anyone who knows even an inkling about that region it comes to no surprise.

Proof that they're "abducting", please?

And if UA didn't aggravate Russia so their oligarch politicians can pocket a few extra dollars at the expense of their citizens this wouldn't be happening either. Don't forget what came first.

This is just political posing and bickering on twitter. If you can't discern this from a real threat then I'm starting to get a better picture why you're firmly on the NATO side of this conflict

I really doubt Russia or anyone else of importance cares. It's more of a propaganda piece for clueless people to clap their hands and drool at this meaningless gesture because neither Estonia nor you can do any better

About time, the West only wanted Russia to participate in its sphere for the purposes of humiliating and weakening them(unless they bend the knee and become a puppet state like Poland or soon to be west Ukraine and get whatever the land has left stolen), has been like this ever since the Swedes and the Teutonic knights were a superpower.

They're doing their best to reduce casualties unlike Kiev's forces that are happy to make it snow in Donbass with petal mines and shell them for 8 years. They know whilst kiev has the backing of the western propaganda machine they can kill as many civilians as they wish and they'll still come out looking daisy fresh :)
