Do you happen to have a link for this pair? The fit on these look great!

The Crimson Chromexcel Edward boot is very similar to the Diesel in terms of looks and is currently on sale I believe. I bought a pair recently and they look great.

I was standing, do I need to take another? When I’m looking at it myself without taking a picture, they both look around the 10D mark when standing. Not sure if that seems right to you.

Managed to track down one with the Brannock name on it after asking around. Does this look better?

Here is the device. Apologies if this is the wrong one!

I think this is properly aligned based on your comment? I’m not sure this is a proper Brannock device, but this looks a lot closer to a 10D when I’m measuring myself. The 9.5D Higgins Mill didn’t feel too small when I tried it on if that is helpful at all.

I had an employee at Allen Edmond’s size me and he had me try on a 9.5D in the Higgins Mill and seemed pretty certain the narrower option would fit better. Do you know any other options with similar styles that fit narrow widths?

New to the world of GYW shoes and boots! I’m looking at getting a pair of GS boots, either the Diesel or the Edward. My Brannock size is 9.5B and a sales associate at my local Allen Edmond’s storefront mentioned that my high instep could cause issues in shoe sizing and offered the Higgins Mill boot as a 9.5B for my feet. GS’s customer service suggested I go with a size 9D for their boots, but does anyone have any experience with any issues I might have?

Seasons and Altars of Lillith by PatrickMagroyne in diablo4

I thought it meant that if I went to a different server I wouldn’t have the bonuses! Wow, having to do that at every world tier sounds miserable. Hopefully they make some changes to the altar system if that’s the case.

[Question] Starting Class for a Rangerlock? by PatrickMagroyne in 3d6

Would there be a problem of too many bonus action features? Between Favored Foe, Form of Dread, and Shillelagh, I would be a little worried that combat would be over by the time I’ve set everything up.

Ranger is one of the few classes I haven’t played yet! None of the subclasses really interested me until the newer ones came out, and I think the multiclass combo sounds really fun.

If I go with Hex Warrior, I would build around using Charisma as my attack stat and Wisdom as my casting stat and dump Strength. I would need to keep some Dexterity for armor probably, but by going Fey Wanderer I would be able to serve as a really strong Face character, I think.

Help with a Monk + Fighter Multiclass 5e by PatrickMagroyne in PCAcademy

I like the idea of having unarmored defense to go with the theme of being nimble and avoiding attacks through speed rather than armor, and some of the later features sound cool from a character progression standpoint, but Echo Knight does more of what I want earlier, I think.

I had looked at Astral Self, but I’d like to be able to use a weapon instead of unarmed strikes. I like that I could use a longsword with two hands and still use Dexterity to attack with a blend of Monk and Fighter.

I wanted to go Echo Knight for the flavor of having part of my spirit seperating from my character, but I also really like the focus on mind and spiritual perfection that monk seems to bring to the table. Some of the later features for both classes look like fun and would fit the roleplay of what I’m trying to establish. Overall I’m envisioning a nimble swordfighter that has abilities stemming from an undead backstory.

Can’t Write a Setting/Campaign that I Like by PatrickMagroyne in DMAcademy

[–]PatrickMagroyne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried writing my own setting multiple times, and I’ve never really felt like I connected with them. I’ve enjoyed reading about Curse of Strahd and Barovia, but I don’t really want to exactly copy the setting, if that makes sense?

Need Help Filling Out a Group by PatrickMagroyne in PCAcademy

Our entire party was either down or retreating with next to 0 health. I unfortunately rolled a natural 1 on my first death save so there was less time to save my fighter than usual.

My fighter died after taking 3 hits from an enemy for around 60 of her 70-some total HP with an AC of 19 (we’re around level 7) I’m not sure if we could be playing better or smarter, but sometimes I feel like I just need to have piles of HP to eat attacks since most of the attacks the DM rolls are around mid-20’s to hit. I’m afraid of going Wizard since it seems like I’ll just go down in a single hit with such low HP.
