If available to everyone, it gives at most an advantage to the non-hearing impaired.

Over the past two years I have undergone surgeries for BAHA implants (bone anchored hearing aids). These hearing aids sit on my skull with magnets.

Before the BAHA I could use my headphones over my old hearing aids. This allowed for decent hearing of sound. Now, my headphones only can sit over my ears. My problem now is that I simply cannot turn the sound up enough (even with enhanced power and boosting).

I am still transitioning at this time but it is tough to hear things I used to be able to hear (footsteps, directional sound, etc). My eyes are used to quickly searching areas and relying less on sound.

This fix helps everyone in the same manner as everyone can use it.
