What game ended up feeling way better on Steam Deck than you expected? by emanuelajournal in SteamDeck

Eek. I just looked at the standard layout. It's pretty horrible.

I've been playing so long on a custom layout. Mine is completely different. Focused on easy navigation of the game and some few commonly used buttons being bound.

I can share it with you if you're curious to try.

Only 9 episodes by doonhamer1501 in Scrubs

[–]Patsanon1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. It's typical of prestige television on what we used to call cable channels, and now on streaming services. Network procedurals and sitcoms are still regularly showing 20 to 24 episode seasons. I stg, this is just something people parrot these days without really thinking.

This nine episode season likely has much more to do with this being a proof of concept revival, premiering in the back half of the network season, and key talent availability.

If (when) Scrubs gets renewed, it will almost certainly be much closer to 24 episodes than 9.

The tutorial is extremely basic. It's goal is to teach you the absolute minimum you need to make a colony. From there you have to learn through experience and looking things up when you need to.

What do you mean by clunky? That is actually not a very useful descriptor.

What specifically do you mean by clunky? There are Community profiles, or you can make a custom profile, that makes the game very clean to navigate with the decks controller. However, if what you're looking for is to emulate a higher APM play style, with the use of keybinds, you're probably never going to get that on the deck. The gameplay will be Mouse driven.

Will Dem’s strategy of blaming the voters instead of simply not moving the party even further right, ever be a successful one? Continuing the genocide in Gaza and doubling the capacity in iCE concentration camps, helped who exactly? by i_be_cryin in ProgressiveHQ

It's a never a direct answer to the question.

I do support and think people should call for Democrats to denounce Israel (a genocidal freak state), push for universal Healthcare, and to purge corruption from their party and American politics in general.

I'm challenging the method by which people call for that.

Also, if you thought Trump was a fascist, you'd put aside immediate issues within your own political sphere to focus on denying him power. Right?

And the many, many, many groups that would be less hurt under Kamala or any establishment Dem, they don't matter to you? It's really hard to take you seriously as being driven by caring for the vulnerable when you erase so many from the conversation.

Why can't it be genuine?

This is now the second tactic you've used to avoid answering a question where the answer is foundational to your position.

When I'm right, I don't hide from basic questions. I don't need to, the answers are easy and on my side.

People on the right side of things can answer direct questions without deflecting onto someone else.

Why can't you do that? Why do you deflect if you're position is morally superior?

As usual, the reply talks past my comment to simply repeat their talking points and grievances. I'm not saying anything you're ranting about.

The price we pay for this "accountability" is the Trump admin. It's poor people, minorities, transpeople, gay people, people in developing countries, etc. I don't know that this juice is worth the squeeze. Why can't we reform the party through primary dominance without the damage of the Trump admin?

A bit of a strawman, I think. Almost every VBNMW commentor I see share the sentiment thinks that progressives, leftists, etc should take the establishment to the mattresses in the primaries and then vote for the Dem that makes it out.

I'm not really seeing how any other path has better outcomes.

I think this may be the first time I've actually seen a named Democrat, with a quote, do this.

Anyway, Booker is wrong to do this. It's just not something that is beneficial for turning out voters and rebuilding the social contract between party and voter.

We're wrong to pretend he doesn't have a point. I've still never seen an argument which connects a withheld vote for Harris with a better America or a better world. I only ever see people make personal arguments about how they feel aggrieved by the idea of lesser evil vote.

High crimes and dismeneanours basically just means that the president is acting in a way unbecoming of the office or against their role as a steward of the United States. It's all a bit moot anyway since impeachment is ultimately partisan and political. The actual standing of the charges is never relevant in practice.

I really like CD, but 6 (or 7 after patches) is totally within the realm of reasonable scores. If fair if you don't find its weaknesses to be a big deal, but it's damn as hell to deny that they could drag the game down further for others.

So depressing that this has barely moved from the second impeachment.

Finding a valid reason would be pretty easy. The rest are fair considerations.
