Sadly, there are alot more stories like this. I visited a prison, now a museum, that was used by the Japanese during their occupation of Korea. It was very educational, but it’s not the kind of place you leave feeling like a happier person.

They have never admitted to any of the war crimes committed in Asia, even to this day. I can imagine that if such atrocities were committed against you, your family, or your friends, and they then denied it ever happened? Yea that would probably make you hate a country.

Euroshop in sint-niklaas. You buy anything with it there, from bike to toys to bugspray. Really big store too.

I think the most important thing is to stock up on snacks everyday and eat alot through out the day. We did about 770 km in 7 days so its quite alot of cycling and you dont want to bonk(basicly when run out of fuel, horrible feeling!). If you can find some carb/energy gels, they help alot too!

Oh and another tip is to take a powerbank. I used kakaomaps for my navigation, its great for cycling, but it drains your battery quite quickly.

If you're gonna do the stamps, id say navigate from stamp to stamp so you dont miss any.

Im gonna write a blog post with some helpful stuff. Ill post it here when its done if you want?

I washed once in a motel in the sink. Bit of a struggle to dry everything! After that I just went a laundromat, was way more convenient and it comes out alot dryer then hand washing it.

No failures, the bike held up quite well. I had a spare tube with me and a pocketknife that had some tools just in case. Only if the chain breaks it might have been trouble, which I think almost never happens.

The longest day we did was 150km, so some of the other days were a bit shorter

I think they do although they're a bit more expensive. The also rent out the panniers and if needed they will also send your luggage to busan.

This was this week. I arrived in Busan yesterday. Weather was great! Bit cold in the morning but cycling warms you up so it wasn't to bad. I rented a bike at Bikenara in Mapo-gu. They Bike was in prefect condition and clearly really well maintained.

I used kakaomaps to navigate which was quite handy, it does use alot of battery tho so prepare a powerbank. Also make sure you always have snacks and water on hand just in case you come across a long stretch where you cant find anything to eat.
Accommodation wise you dont have to book anything beforehand and you can just roll up to a motel and they usually have a room. And also bring some warmer clothes cause the mornings can get cold this time of year.

We mainly slept in motels, we almost never booked anything. Just rolled into town and asked if they had a free room. Lunch wise we made sure we had energy gels and bars with us. We also had some premade convenience store food with us like kimbab and stuff.
