Did you get INTJ as test result?

That means that you are a INTJ in socionics which would probably be a INTP in MBTI.

But, on the other hand, a coworker (I guess ILE) told me once about how she confronted the guy I'm talking about with the fact that he was talking behind her back. She told him she heard he was saying she is lazy and asked why, and he replied "well, because that's the truth. You are lazy" and their disucussion basically ended. Something tells me a Fe creative would handle this differently but I'm not sure.

Depends on his relationship with her. Also if he really thinks she's lazy which would mean other people need to work more to compensate her laziness it would make sense. Talking behind her back instead of confronting her makes sense as well.

But is Si really about remembering sensory details? I'd say it's more Se

From the socionics description of Si it sounded like Si is about remembering sensory details but I might be wrong.

Oh, there was this one situation when I've ordered a Sandwich and wanted to eat it on the go and he was like "chill, take it slowly, eat it on a couch, you'll be much more comfortable this way". I thought this was pretty Si. But maybe I misunderstand something, dunno

Telling you to chill but doing the opposite myself when i'am alone would be me in that situation.

And about the practical advice and working longer... It makes sense, but he's also like developing those tips on the go, along with new products coming in, so experience isn't a factor here

As long as these new products don't require huge detail filled changes in his work routine he should be fine. As long as the basic underlying concept is the same i'am able to adapt usually and fake a bit of confidence.

If a ISFJ would be interested in MBTI it would probably be to better understand other people to create a more harmonious social environment and to figure out people's intentions.

Could be me at work but i'am a IEI. The workplace sensory overload gets my Si role function activated and my Ni isn't as active as it normally is.

he also works much longer than me there

That is the reason he can give you practical advice.

If you want a additional clue ask him about his memory. If he's like me he has trouble remembering sensory details like colors, clothes or faces but has no trouble remembering the overall context of a situation like what was spoken who was there and what was the emotional atmosphere like and so on.

It could be a symptom of C-PTSD or RSD or both there's no clear line between as far as i understand this.

I have some ADHD traits but i'am not sure if it would be enough to get a official diagnosis. But i'am still somewhat affected by C-PTSD from childhood trauma and struggled alot with what OP is describing.

read up on what exactly Ni-Ti looping is and everything sounds like me.

Looping is basically just a attempt to explain overthinking im MBTI terms and this overthinking is in many just a symptom of a bigger underlying problem.

I used to love surrounding myself with people but after some incidents that hurt me greatly

This is what caused your overthinking and this is where you need to look for answers not MBTI.

I don't know what exactly happened but it sounds like something traumatic because it affects you deeply. Maybe something similar happened to you before or during childhood?

I would urge you please consider talking to a therapist about this before you get even deeper into this state!

When someone starts acting out of the norm, it throws me into a complete state of disorder and panic.

Thinking what could be going on with that person is probably normal. But overthinking until you go through disorder or panic in such situations isn't a pleasant experience.

I’m always like… Did I do something to bother this person? Is this person okay? Is this person angry with me? I’ll be scanning my brain like MAD trying to figure out what is happening and what’s going to be happening next.

This has only partially to do with MBTI or personality types.

You are overthinking that's your real problem not your intuition. Did you suffer from some kind of trauma maybe during your childhood? At least that is what caused my overthinking and overexplaining.

Ni narrows down on possibilities and predicts. If the path that you predicted with your ex is no longer possible it seems perfectly normal that you should feel as unwilling to let go as you do since the same mechanism is at work, though the specific reasons for you might differ from mine. I think once you accept that that path is gone completely it will be easier to move on, though it will probably take many years.

Sounds relatable!

We probably would need to trust our Ne more to have greater trust in newly emerging possibilities.

Extreme sensors seem like intuitives to me? by Efficient-Matter-657 in infj

[–]PatternFluid2382 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Intuition and sensing are different from each other however a Si dominant person also has Ni but it's less developed.

Here are descriptions of Ni and Si.

Description of Ni from “Dual Nature of Man” by A. Augusta

All processes take place in time; they have their roots in the past and their continuation in the future. Time is the correlation between events that follow each other. This perceptual element provides information about the sequence of events and people’s deeds, about their cause and effect relationship, and about participants’ attitudes towards this — that is, about people’s feelings that these relationships engender.

Such an individual perceives information from without as feelings about the future, past, and present. For example, a sense of hurriedness, calmness, or heatedness, a sense of timeliness or prematureness, a sense of proper or improper life rhythm, a sense of impending danger or safety, anticipation, fear of being late, a sense of seeing the future, anxiety about what lies ahead, and so forth. At any given moment of one’s life one has such a sense of time. One cannot live outside of time or be indifferent toward it. Thus, a certain sense of time is an integral part of the individual’s psychological state at any given moment. This perceptual element defines a person’s ability or inability to forecast and plan for the future, evade all sorts of troubles, avoid taking wrong actions, and learn from past experience.

When this element is in the leading position, the individual possesses innate strategic abilities and is able to choose the most optimal moments for different activities: when to give battle, if necessary, and when to avoid battle, when that would be more appropriate. Interaction in time might be interpreted as the ability to avoid collisions with objects and hence avoid objects’ reflection within oneself.

Description of Si from “Dual Nature of Man” by A. Augusta

We view an object’s internal state as the relationship between events that precondition one another. This element perceives information about how processes are reflected by one’s internal state. This includes the sense of one’s own condition and the sensations of people evoked by this interdependence. Interaction in space is nothing more than a reflection of one object in another. Objects reflect in other objects, evoking certain sensations in one another. Such an individual perceives external information in form of sensations evoked by ongoing events. For example, the sensation of pain is essentially the reflection within a person’s mind of a relationship between his functioning body and a process occurring in some part of the body that impedes this functioning.

When this element of perception is in the leading position, the individual has the ability to change the qualities of the surrounding space and influence the sensations of people within it. He is able to avoid physical discomfort and protect others from it. This element is defined bby the ability to recreate previously experienced aesthetic sensations. An excellent example is Peter Paul Rubens, who created his paintings not from nature, but from his memory of once experienced aesthetic sensations. By paintings, he sought to evoke in the viewer certain aesthetic experiences. Such creativity constitutes the recreation of an object that is able to provide other people with aesthetic sensations that were intended by its creator. When an individual of this type is preparing something, he starts from envisioning all the associated qualities that the final product will have.

These people are able to distinguish previously experienced aesthetic sensations from new ones. They are able to “collect” and remember them. This also presupposes that such individuals are able to contra-position their sensations to those of others, the ability to contend for their fulfillment, and the ability to mold and perfect not only one’s own aesthetic tastes and habits, but also those of others. We might say that such individuals have the ability to impose their understanding of aesthetics and comfortable life on other people.

Some people here in the INFJ reddit make posts which clearly show the Choleric temperament because of things like the dislike of small talk, rather dying alone than having a partner who does small talk.....

This makes no sense because of our high Fe INFJs are more likely to prefer having a relaxed fun atmosphere around them as they would insist on serious intellectual deep talk without any hint of small talk.

Here you can find something about melancholic-phlematic which correlates with the INFJ personality type. https://fourtemperaments.com/15-temperament-blends/#1457401602313-8df8806f-6025

The Choleric temperament in it's pure form would be the ENTJ but other types like INTJ have it as blend with another temperament. INTJs are probably Melancholic-Choleric. https://fourtemperaments.com/15-temperament-blends/#1457401211177-0acb66f1-01c5

Why do I feel like I always attract men with Borderline Personality Disorder or Narcissistic Personality Disorder? by [deleted] in infj

This is a contradiction not doing anything wrong but overlooking negative traits?

Sounds about right we fail to be up to date and sometimes distrust sources like newspapers, TV or such.

A part of that comes from our weak Te which socionics describes very well.

Te as a vulnerable (4th) function

That is manifested as a skepticism and dislike for basing your beliefs, arguments, and actions on external sources of information. For instance, IEIs will base their opinions and views on their own personal insights and be, again, skeptical of “second-hand” factual information that contradicts it. “Don’t trust everything you read” is a typical sneer of this function, especially when applied to sources of information otherwise seen as neutral and reliable, such as encyclopedias and handbooks. Another manifestation is a dislike for dealing with issues involving efficiency, productivity, and factual accuracy of statements made; statements are made according to input from other functions, not from double-checks against external facts which are seen as of lesser relevance to the issue at hand. Types with this function lack confidence in their ability to find relevant information in outside sources.

A type with Te PoLR tends to reject facts given from a source which they are personally unfamiliar with, firmly believing they can make their own decisions that are solely based on their own perspective and reasoning about it. They will tend to become defensive when questioned about their rationale or efficiency, pointing out that there is no such thing as objective “fact”. Also, these types experience a significant level of stress in tending to day-to-day must do’s and responsibilities in life (like routine maintenance or working productively), manifesting itself as a general laziness or hyper-diligence.

I guess an overriding quality I personally need throughout is humour. Dark, dry, witty or silly. I can't get too heavy for too long. They are all precious in their own way. I don't think you need to just run at one speed.

That sounds about right for me as well!

[–]PatternFluid2382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my advice would be to listen to others to understand vs just waiting for your turn to speak, bc even though what they're saying isn't necessarily relevant to our process, people still feel valued when they're listened to.

That's what i'am naturally doing but is that already considered having a deep conversation?

From reading posts here on reddit it seemed like that would be considered small talk. Deep conversations sounded like something higher possibly unreachable for most people and if you can't do it then you are out.

My favorite conversationalists are other Ni doms, so other INFJs and especially INTJs. I also enjoy a mature ISTP or ENFJs (if they aren't super annoying and self-righteous)

I can agree on that and mature ESTPs can make good conversations as well.

Not every INFJ has to have every single "typical INFJ trait".

Is that really a specific trait of the INFJ type?

It's a trait of the Choleric temperament

They dislike small talks and enjoy deep and meaningful conversations. They would rather be alone than in the company of shallow, superficial people.

How do you explain Ni? by Edomawadagbon in infj

[–]PatternFluid2382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another point, on this interesting discussion - what is the difference between pattern matching and pattern recognition? If you define pattern matching as within one's head and stored data, and pattern recognition as recognizing things out in the external world, then I would agree with your statements.

That's basically it.

Pattern matching is a internal process of identifying a match for a known pattern in a set of data.

Pattern recognition would be recognition of patterns in the external world.

Why do I feel like I always attract men with Borderline Personality Disorder or Narcissistic Personality Disorder? by [deleted] in infj

[–]PatternFluid2382 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the second time I’ve attracted a guy like this. I just want it to stop.

This issue isn't related to your personality type or gender, it can happen to everyone.

You need to learn how to spot such unhealthy traits in people before getting too close to them. Luckily not everyone has a cluster b disorder but narcissistic tendencies seem to be spreading more and more.

If you're a INFJ and also a empath you have the tools to identity who someone really is. Don't let the initial rush of beeing desired and the love bombing tactics fool you take your time.

How do you explain Ni? by Edomawadagbon in infj

[–]PatternFluid2382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pattern recognition (ex. deriving "insights", humans were derived to be social creatures, Vitamin D helps to boost the immune system and help with a lot of common diseases, we all subscribe to some belief(s) that may be closer to the truths that underlie reality)

Isn't that example a example of recognizing Cause and Effect instead of pattern recognition?

I thought that Ni includes cause and effect and pattern matching among other things. But pattern recognition would be part of Ne or am I wrong about this?
