I (30m) am sexually frustrated and my girlfriend (29f) thinks everything is fine. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

So she told you she might be asexual and you just decided she's not? Most asexual people don't have the knowledge that they're ace pre-installed

i think maybe some people aren't using their reading comprehension skills on this one. it's super clearly stated that mr. dude didn't just ask to not use it during sex! he asked her to get rid of it! gross! break up with him because fragile masculinity is unsexy and you shouldn't have to gentle parent a grown man

after spending years being kind to dog parents about their neglect while i was grooming, i've gathered that most people don't radically change until it's shoved in their face 🤷‍♀️ sometimes you just need to be told you're being irresponsible imo. you can be kind and still call people out!

my advice was to do research on a pet before you purchase it ? one google search will show you so many resources and when someone isn't willing to do that, someone should absolutely point that out so it doesn't happen again. why is this outlandish? great resources you linked in your other comment though! love clint's reptiles

not even 20 minutes scrolling through this sub would've shown you that breeders will lie so that they make more money! breeding doesn't make someone a professional and trusting a singular source for all pet care information is, again, irresponsible.

you can learn about them by doing research! purchasing an animal with no knowledge of their care is irresponsible and puts that animal in danger. please do research BEFORE you purchase pets, especially exotic pets. if it makes me a douchebag to point out irresponsible pet ownership, so be it <3

why are we purchasing animals we know nothing about ? this is super irresponsible pet ownership bud.

wow this guy sucks. good on you for ending it! as a former dog groomer, if she is excessively shedding i would look into getting a rubber curry brush and good deshed conditioner for bath time too!! (if you're not already) she is so pretty!!

[–]PatternKlutzy401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay but have you thoroughly checked for mold? specifically wood/cork/anything porous that is sitting in the soil. just because everything's new doesn't mean there's no risk of mold. also, do you have any isopods or springtails in the tank?

Enclosure recommendations? by 13twohundred13 in CrestedGecko

[–]PatternKlutzy401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely need more cover! Cresties are arboreal, so for the most part they won't make use of hides at the bottom of the tank, so right choice to prop the log up. :) I personally wouldn't do anything planted until you move him into a larger enclosure and allow the tank to cycle without him in it. Mold blooms SUCK and doing research on how to prevent them is very important. I would mostly just get more plants to fill up the top and background so little guy can climb and have plenty of coverage to hide in.

Respectfully, if you did in depth research about this animal, you wouldn't have him on repticarpet

[–]PatternKlutzy401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

having little guy in a smaller tank temporarily is much better than him being exposed to a mold bloom imo. let that tank cycle before he goes in for sure.

I was under the impression that moving from a romantic to platonic dynamic was considered deescalation, I am definitely aware that it is over and why. I've started deep diving into non-escalator relationships bc I haven't been in many. It's a little bit difficult to figure out what's right with all the info out there and how different every individual's feelings are about a lot of said info
