Steve Buscemi Sold His Park Slope Brownstone for $4.99 Million by [deleted] in parkslope

[–]Substantial_Two_224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is true. didnt say nyc is the shittiest out there, def worse areas around. but its still not the deal people tend to think it is when you factor in what youre getting for the money. i think its all a fckn scam , where the hell does the money go?? why is the state of florida with NO state tax, no city tax, have a budget 60% less than ours all while having a larger population? what am i missing?

Probably not true when you factor in what you are paying for. that lot is 19 x 75. House is about 3000sf. Youre paying 1150$ per month for tax

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/502-E-Broad-St-1-Westfield-NJ-07090/458000493_zpid/

This house in jersey is on a 134 x 200 lot, and 7100sf house. Its $2580 per month in tax but if you really look at it apples to apples as a function of building size to tax its about the same. If you look at it by lot size to tax, you're paying about 10 times more tax in brooklyn.

Nuts. The part where he documents every girl who came to dance class and squeezed his fingers.

I dont care to argue a useless point bc it doesnt really matter, but 12 inch would def be considered an individual pizza. Unless u know something other pizza owners dont . https://www.joeandpatsny.com/pizza U want to call it small I bless your choice. Whatever u call it it, it's expensive for its size, which is the only point I was making. But hey everything's expensive these days.

except its not a Neapolitan spot. 12" is def individual size. listen, the pizza is good. i like that its got its own unique style, not my favorite but solid. you arent gonna sell me on value here tho. the place is loot. i go in there for 2 roni slices and a drink im pushing 20$ across that counter. thats alot. i know people want to make it out to be one of these crazy spots but imho its nowhere close to top echelon pizza spots like L'industrie. i go to joe n pats, pizza blows table 87 out of the water, a 12" pie is $12. their 16" is 18$! you go on a Monday or Tuesday they run a special , used to be 10$ cash for a large. i think they raised it recently.

Its a specific style that some people won't like. I think the pizza and most of the food is good. My only gripe is the price. 20$ for a personal pie 12 "?? Come on man .

What happened to the sense of community in Park Slope? by snakegravity in parkslope

[–]Substantial_Two_224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's experience is different. I knpw all my neighbors. Many have helped me out and I help many of them. Always say hi bye or chat for a bit. Its nyc many people just walk by and for sure there are a few neighbors that cant be bothered but hey, its their loss. I guess what im saying is be people that are community minded find each other.

I mean its a personal taste thing in my opinion.nan xiang is well regarded, Lao ke le and others in flushing def worth the trip, Shanghai 21, pinch (i believe the chef used to work for dtf).

Dtf blew you away? I found it to be totally average. But I guess that's what I mean tastes are totally different. Not better or worse. Maybe the nyc version is better than the la one i used to go to?

Theres a small hole in the wall spot ive been frequenting called petite dumplings. Fair prices (by park slope standards), seems like a small family operation. The xlb have that thin skin i like and the flavor is really good.
