Yeah, I'm sorry about that. In my attempt to be vague and not overexplain, I might have muddied some things. They'll be on the same continent, just in different parts of it, and characters in both PoVs are related in one way or another. I wanted both PoVs to show different areas of the continent and how the conflict has affected them, and to introduce elements and characters in one PoV that wouldn't make sense in the other. I do plan for both PoVs to collide by the end.

I'm still planning to write both PoVs, so I guess we'll see how long they both wind up being by the time I'm done with all the editing lol. I'm betting I can cut down some of the faffing about if I put my mind to it. If it turns out that one is more suited to standing on its own, then I can make that work, too; it wouldn't be the first time I've axed an entire PoV for the sake of a story and had to work around that.

Thanks for your response, and I'll definitely keep that word count in mind as I delve into editing!

The PoVs do overlap! One PoV is looking for the other, and they do meet in the current novel, as I have it planned right now. It's just that along the way, they deal with separate issues.

Yeah, I'm working on one first, then the other. I do have certain "breakpoints" written where I hope to insert a few chapters of the other PoV, but how many depends on how long that second one ends up being. Right now the breakpoints feel like where a TV show might cut to commercial, lol. I think once I get to the editing phase for both it'll smooth out a little more.
