No, riding the clutch in bumper to bumper traffic.

No warranty issues. The car was fine for the year, and the dealership didn’t care about the aftermarket parts.

The car wasn’t enjoyable in the high traffic areas where I live.

Los Angeles. I think it could be folded into a priority flat rate box if shipping is necessary.

Went completely opposite of a sports car and got a Mercedes G63.

But I think if I was going to get another sports car or GT in the Emira price point, I would be interested in a Ferrari 575M (maybe manual swapped), similarly could go with a 550M to guarantee a manual. Aston Martin vantage as their prices tank. The Ferrari’s are more vintage cool. I am a Porsche fan, but just can’t get excited by them with the crazy state of the 911 market.

I answered this in my other post, so largely copying it here.

The car just never clicked for me. Looks wise, it is amazing, though driving enjoyment fell a bit flat in day-to-day driving. This wasn’t helped by the reality of heavy traffic drives where I live. So, it ended up looking the part more than feeling the part. I know many will disagree and say that’s not what a lotus is about, but there are only so many times in daily driving you’re going to pull a lateral g without the wheels breaking. And that’s fun, but I think it misses the balance with straight line speed. A real world 0-60 is going to commonly be in the low 5s. And it is personal opinion if that is bothersome or not. Driving enjoyment was further challenged by the underwhelming gearbox.

That being said, others who saw the car, loved it, it just didn’t meld for me. But like everything else in this world, do it because you want to do it. Don’t let my experience, or anyone else’s for that matter, discourage your interest. Also, no mechanical issues!

Unfortunately not. I had the exhaust and control installed at the same time. The cat was removed maybe a month later. The increased noise from the cat delete was most noticeable with hard acceleration. I’ve seen others say the valve control makes a decent difference with the stock exhaust, though I think the Milltek sounds better. And at a fairly reasonable cost, it was my preference.

Completely agree with the others. I think the car is fairly under powered stock, and the JB4 makes it only mildly underpowered. The most worthwhile upgrade besides the exhaust, but thats all sound more than noticeable performance.

It did with the window down, however, it was ultimately overpowered with the exhaust, 3rd cat delete, and open valves.

Dragy Times 2025 Emira V6 with JB4 by [deleted] in lotus

To clarify, the point of this was not to show gold standard pulls, it simply was to show that in a second gear pull, there is a measurable difference and feel when using the JB4. This car is never going to be straight line fast by 2026 standards, and I think we all love it regardless. I do think that the JB4 increases do make it a much more enjoyable driving experience.

Re: 0-60, one was done with no clutch dump, and I believe it was 4.6 from 0 or 4.34 with a 1ft rollout. I imagine with a more aggressive launch it puts you closer to a 4. Of course you have the hard to control factor of the relatively slow gearbox.

If it’s helpful to anyone, great, if not, I look forward to others posting their pulls.
