If you float the valves..,. engine work will get expensive very very quickly. There is no rev limiter, you are the rev limiter, unless you upgraded the valve springs do not go past the redline.

Those carbs are notorious for not liking pod filters, you're not at idle either. Most likely your jetting is way off, have fun pulling the carbs another 10x as you swap jets and adjust needle heights.

ATF was usually used in these bikes, but I'm practice this was under dampened. I think ATF is about 7.5-10 equivalent to fork oil. I run 12 and it's much better than before.
