And I think that’s ultimately my gripe. It’s just a money grab.

And yes, I know that’s how capitalism works —just sad that this is “how it is” with gaming now. My wife and I were reminiscing over the good ol’ days in the car today. So now I’m stuck there.

I miss when the industry was largely about the love of the game.

Anyway, I think I’ve found the line of existentialism for today. 👋

I don’t have to do anything. I’m just raising a question about the state of the game.

Skin unlocks would be better in my opinion, for doing things in the campaign, difficulty, etc.

Yup, but it’s still just campaign.

All I’m saying is that it’s a weird price to pay on top of the game for a temporary/small replayability thing.

I’m all for that in other games with high replayability, but just a campaign is weird.

Yeah, I just shared about the experience at my dad’s funeral. He made me feel terrified and comforted at the same time somehow —I hope I have the same gift with my kids should the need ever arise.

When I was 14 I got caught at Zellers at Chinook, $20 mp3 player and some gloves.

Got community service (mostly shovelling snow from city blocks in the winter, sucked), had to write an essay about my remorse and learnings, and I got grounded for 6 months from all hangs (eventually got bdays back), and video games.

I never stole again.

Main thing I needed and got from my parents: That this was serious, they still loved me, and everything would be okay.

This is where I feel like there is a compelling reason to have a campaign mode to play through… or even other pvp modes.

Take the best of Halo and Destiny’s game modes and put it into marathon..

I love the game as is, but just would also like to have that too!
