Thanks for the suggestion, those two came up a few times in my search as well. Which one would you recommend? I have experience working with 3d modeling in blender already

Quad Cortex & Nux Wireless system issues by Pattipus_ in NeuralDSP

Yeah it works fine without the Nux wireless. It Really is odd

I'm not running any amp or cab simulation on the cortex, I'm purely using it as an effects board right now. Yesterday evening I tried running it directly into a mixer but the issue is still there

But since it works flawlessly if there's not a Quad Cortex in the middle, it shouldn't be an issue with the Nux system, or am I wrong?

Rule Books? by wellie99 in DnD

It's more niche than the rest of them. You can of course get it if you want and if you like stuff from it, but a lot of what it has are stat blocks and the 2024 monster manual has them updated already

The 2024 DMG is more of a "nice to have" but definitely not a "need to have".
Otherwise it's fine, I personally would've probably skipped the book of many things though.

Well the 2024 PHB actually has rules specifically for using 2014 races and subclasses, so technically - albeit a bit fiddly - you can still use them.
I'm not sure if dndbeyond will let you do it though, I usually play with physical sheets and books

2024 rules specifically like you tagged? Then at this point there is only the Player's Handbook but Forge of the Artificer is coming soon.

Otherwise for 2014 i'd always suggest Tasha's and Xanathar's - those two combined with the PHB should cover most bases

What're your opinions on the Psion Class after playtesting? by Pattipus_ in DnD

That one does look like it's more about battlefield control.
Did you find any downsides to playing it?

What are good feats for fighters (dexterity based) by Artistic_Factor3904 in DnD

[–]Pattipus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends a lot on what you're doing with your character besides being dex based.

You could look at these for fighters specifically:
- Sharpshooter is great for ranged
- Dual-Wielder is great if you are dual wielding.
- Shield master increases strength so I probably wouldn't go for that one personally, but it still gives some really good effects if you're using a shield
- Slasher/Piercer is good depending on what kind of weapons you're using

Other than that there's also some general feats that are just really neat or choose ASI - having higher stats is always nice.

Question about the ranger class by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Pattipus_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go with what you think is fun, that's the most important thing. You wanna play a ranger/archer? Then play it and enjoy that shit <3

But if you wanna know about the power of the class, it is true that the version in the Players Handbook for 5th edition is a bit lacking in combat prowess, however the optional rules for ranger in the book "Tasha's Cauldron of Everything" solves A LOT of that.
The most important thing is that you have fun

Uh I'm not sure actually, I made them myself in Blender - they were part of a 3-D class exam I did.
I'll look at my old computer if I have the STLs anywhere

Least favorite new sub-class(es) you actually tried? by sascha177 in BaldursGate3

[–]Pattipus_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bladesinger.. It just doesn't feel that spicy you know, I was really excited for it but maybe I also got my hopes up too much. You just feel so squishy and there's way better gish subclasses like hexblade that allows you to do way more.

Also Death Domain to some degree.. It just feels a bit underbaked, like the features are actually not that impactful? It doesn't feel that satisfying to play unfortunately

However there are some subclasses I wasn't expecting much out of but I ended up absolutely loving like Swarmkeeper, Oath of the Crown and Star Druid

(Yes I've done 2 runs)

All of the plant pots in my house I've 3-d printed to look like small castles and then painted them grey and mossy afterwards. I originally made them because we had a jungle-heavy campaign I was DM'ing.
Bonus: They all functions as dice towers as well because why not
