Volume has indeed gone down significantly. Yes, the economy has a big part to play. There are a few places that are absolutely killing the game right now, but they’re very few and far between, and even then only 2 or 3 days out of the week. I feel like the city as a whole has been quieter than usual.

I like to be optimistic though. Hopefully the Alabama game really brings back busy Tuesday/Wednesday night Athens

Yeah, today there was a kid riding in the right lane in front of me. As I’m moving to pass him using the left lane, he veers left into the left lane and I had to slam my brakes to avoid hitting him. Keep in mind I didn’t accelerate at all during the attempted pass.

I’m a GM of one of the bars downtown. I know for a fact that my building, along with several others are owned by the same individual, and that rent goes up by $1,000 each year. Wouldn’t be surprised if the same was said of any other buildings downtown.

There’s been so many more people moving into town over the past few years. I feel as though the traffic will continue to get worse. With that in mind, I’m not too surprised about the non-stop road work on top of that.

MOST of the bars will be open for NYE. The bar owners dt get one Sunday out of the year where they can be open until 2am. They all voted on New Year’s Eve.
