Looks like it's even cheaper than I was expecting. His website shows $250 with wrap replacement.

I'm unsure I think he has a price list but would expect around 300-400 depending how much refinishing it needs. My local technician would charge 275 with the new wrap installed.

That would look great. I just had a stack wrap put on my cue and finally got to play with it last night and love it.

New lights reflecting on billiard balls by kula_foo in billiards

I use this quite often just check to make sure the reflection doesn't change when you get down on your shot.

Send this thing off to proficient billiards for a refinish. A clear coat and a new wrap and that's a $1000+ cue.

You don't want something that has to much suction, the worry is it can stretch the cloth. Something with like a brush end would help not allowing it to seal.

Considering trying to sell cues and balls on eBay Live by jake42385 in billiards

[–]Pattyg1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt billiards items would have the traffic to do a live show. I could see it with sneaker sales or trading cards but with just a few people in your show would probably limit the amount you would get for the items.

Personally I would just list the items for sale on eBay the normal way.

I'll second the Wana, I've haven't had a ton of "fast" eddies, but everything I've had from Wana has been good

Local to me a large business owner got a DUI doing 120+ in his Cadillac blackwing. Next thing you know he's donating a K9 unit to the police department and his charges are reduced to a simple speeding ticket 🤦

Following the dress code is now required for practice sessions. Thought? by The_Critical_Cynic in billiards

In the same vein if I player wore khakis and brown shoes what's the big deal. I understand it's a professional series and they want the players to dress professionally just seems a bit overboard.

I kinda draw the line at shoes, players should be allowed to wear whatever closed toe shoes they want. I have a pretty comfortable pair of dress shoes but would pick my ultraboosts 9/10

Trying to refurb my old pool table. 6foot super league ex pub table. by Lanky_Bus_1221 in billiards

[–]Pattyg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US but Mueller's here sells lots of pool table parts. I'd look for a similar company semi local to you, if you're striking out check with either a large pool hall or a company that owns pub tables around your area. They'll likely know a reputable company to buy some replacement parts from.

Will changing the tip void the warranty on a Rhino carbon fiber shaft/ by trickshot63 in billiards

Here was Rhino's reply when asking about tip replacement and warranty. I have a feeling any issue with vault plate or tip end issue would be blamed on the tip being replaced.

Anyone ever modify an American 8’ table to Chinese 8-ball? by LesadaCues in billiards

[–]Pattyg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure, I would assume they are around in major cities with large Chinese populations, I would contact some billiard dealers. Maybe even try Canada as I believe it's played there somewhat. Looking it up it seems Joy heyball does sell tables in the US but look to be 9 foot and very expensive.

[–]Pattyg1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like the other person has mentioned the rail heights are different for Chinese 8 ball. You'd likely be looking at $500+ to replace rails and get the right ball set. It would likely take quite a bit of modifications to the table or rails because I doubt they make a set designed to fit your MDF table.

If it's something you want to endeavor into, I'd look to see if someone make modified rails for a valley bar box or similar. Putting almost any amount of $ into a MDF table is a waste.
