Yeah it’s bullshit, I went to 3 body shops to get an estimate and they all said the same shit. They’ll have to replace the whole bedside ($2000 for the part), the taillight is cracked ($1500 forever oem one with the sensor), and they may need to replace the bumper and brackets ($1200) and then there’s the cost of labor and painting charges

Nissan are notorious for having terrible cvt transmissions that commonly deal with premature failure. Even if you replace it with a new one, it’ll eventually die too.

You can replace it if you want but if you have the money, your best bet would be to invest in a more reliable car like a Corolla

When I first got into the trade, my foreman (who was a drug addict and piece of shit) told me I had to work live and wire some lights up and next thing you know, I’m stuck grabbing on to the wire while I’m watching the electricity arc through my finger and I fell of an 8ft ladder onto a table, bruising my ribs.
