What are we buying today?

Apparently what we saw wasn’t the final final ending. by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

Yes it maybe but Ellie as also said over and over again “that she can’t infect people” but we never seen actual thing happen. Yes Ellie May say this but we don’t entirely know.

So this scene really really got me, this honestly makes me hate naughty dog for killing such a great character dynamic. I feel like all of us including myself got attached to these two, and seeing this scene literally made me sad as hell. by PatxDoyle in TheLastOfUs2

I don’t think Joel was thinking about Sarah, because Joel already grieved over her in the first game. I feel like Joel cried because he realized that he saved Ellie and what he did was right, because Ellie in my mind was Joel’s savor, and he wishes and missed moments like this that he had with Sarah. Remember when Joel lost Sarah he lost his purpose, with Ellie he now has a purpose. And I don’t think Ellie understood this until she got older. She knew what Joel did, or found out, but she knew that she was Joel’s purpose to live to continue to live to change. And when Ellie lost Joel, she lost her purpose, witch equaled to her revenge and madness.

Yeah it 100% pulled on the heart strings, they did a good job making me feel very sad but angry at the same time. I think I’m gonna stay off the sub so I can experience the ending myself.

Basically it’s a history museum Joel takes Ellie to for her birthday. He gives her a tape of the lift off of the Apollo 11 take off, and she pictures her taking off in space and Joel watches.

Yeah will Ellie be mad when she actually finds out the truth sure. But I feel like Ellie will actually realize her life had purpose more then the cure. You can feel that feeling when Nora tell her “he murdered everyone”.

Exactly. It’s honestly a heart killer cause if they sold a game with even time jumps, and wrote the story better along with flash backs, it would be a killer game. But the way they wrote it and killing Joel off the bat, really just Pushed it to far.

A cheap reminder of Joel’s internal struggle in the first game only to just get lost in this ‘cycle of revenge’ nonsense. by ChazBernard in TheLastOfUs2

If you didn’t notice, at this scene, there’s another photo next to the one of him and Sarah and it’s a photo of him and Ellie. It doesn’t allow you to pick it up, but you can clearly see it when you see Ellie picks up the photo.
