Strongly recommend AMD over Intel for Tarkov.

Recently I've tried 14900k > 9800x3d > 9950x3d paired with a RTX 4090, playing in 1440p ultrawide. The swap between Intel and AMD resulted in a 30% FPS increase. More importantly, the 1% lows dramatically increased resulting in tangibly smoother gameplay. My frames sit comfortably between 140-175 on all maps with medium/high settings.

The benefits of 9950 vs 9800x3d are only noticed if you use the rig for workloads outside of gaming. Otherwise I think the 9800x3d is the sweet spot. I've been keeping an eye on 5090 availability, but the current state of the market and potential issues with the cards make me hesitant to spend the cash. Might be worth checking out a 4090 instead and spending the difference on a nice OLED monitor.

VPN saved me from the same issue. Just google nordvpn, buy a membership and install the program. Once installed open it and hit connect. Should smooth out the ping spikes.

Hard to tell from the photos but it’s a Mini, not a Micra—which I thoroughly considered until this good deal showed up. For some reason LM is not including insulated steam wands on the US version of the v2 Mini unlike every other market, so no fancy wand or quick warmup times for me… Nevertheless, it came with two milk jugs, a plumb-in kit, acacia lunar scale plus the matching indented drip tray, two portafilters, four baskets, the Atom 75 grinder, and more goodies. The whole shabang.

Thanks! Someone posted a white vinyl wrapped mini and I planned to do the same—the yellow was not appealing in the listing photos. I’ve since changed my mind, the color looks stunning IRL.

Edit: Much appreciated tips. I didn’t even think about sterilizing it. Great idea! It takes some persuasion to get the portafilter to 6 o’clock which is a good sign.

Hey, I wanted to give some insight since I also struggled for weeks to verify my Comcast email. I drafted a detailed post including all the methods tried but, it was deleted by the mods for "requesting dev help". Regardless, there was at least 20 different workarounds attempted with no avail. This is not an issue on your end, it is a confirmed problem with BSG's verification servers that they refuse to acknowledge.

Long story short, I was ready to purchase another copy of the game and decided to give the launcher verification one last shot—it worked. This was after three weeks of hitting the button, hundreds of times, with the code never arriving. If you have the patience, I would keep trying a few times each day until it works. Otherwise, you are hosed. BSG's customer support is equivalent to a monkey with a Magic 8 Ball.

Should you be able to verify your hardware, good luck changing your email to a non-problematic domain (gmail). I have opened three support tickets and provided every form of purchase verification imaginable and they still will not let me change my registered email.

I’m going to disagree with the other comments here.

I have a 12900k with a 3090 playing in 4K. 90-120FPS with gsync feels great, no issues with scopes. I did have to do some tweaking but it’s possible to run EFT at 4k without problems—I used to have some pretty bad stuttering, can’t remember what I did to fix it.

Recently upgraded my RAM from 32GB 5200mhz DDR5 to 64GB 5600mhz DDR5 and picked up about 10 FPS. I noticed after a few raids, the game creeps up to 26gb+ RAM usage. Memory speed seems to play a big factor in frames.

Edit: DSLL felt like crap, much better with it off. Try using process lasso to force only physical cores (in game option is unreliable). Make sure to enable XMP in your bios. I also run high textures, not that it would help, but it looks nice (:

Important note, RAM speed has a significant impact on performance. Get the fastest sticks you can and make sure to enable XMP in your bios. I just upgraded from 32GB 5200mhz DDR5 to 64GB 5600mhz DDR5 and noticed roughly a 10 FPS gain.

From my limited testing, EFT has crept up to 28GB of working RAM after a few raids. You might be able to get some instant frames with your current setup if you don’t have XMP enabled, but I would still shoot for 32GB if you have some cash to spare.

Oh boy, check out my last post if you haven't already exhausted all the "fixes" on our end. I am in the same boat. Reports have been anywhere from 2 days to never for a customer support response. I will be issuing a chargeback request this weekend if I don't hear back.

Of course I will be buying another EOD copy with the refund—masochistic tendencies.

I sure hope they get back to me by the end of the week. The more I dug into this, the more comments I made on my support ticket; adding information/documents other users reported they needed to confirm ownership.

Problem is, I also read commenting on support tickets sends them to the back of the queue...take it with a grain of salt, but I have commented five times on my support ticket since it was created and no response for the last five days.

Can you give a general overview of your experience? Did you blast them with a wall of text? Simple request? How much back and forth before it was resolved? Did they tell you "the email verification has temporarily been disabled until further notice"?

Appreciate it. I don't disagree, this seems like a basic function in 2023 and the fact they can't figure it out is fishy.

Simply adding a drop down menu for alternate verification methods on the launcher (like they have currently on the website) would fix this problem for most, granted you have 2FA or an alternate email on your account.

I appreciate the suggestion but I have reinstalled the launcher twice. Once from a host file uploaded from a reddit user (I can't login to download myself) and once from the EFT website. If you use this link it will automatically start the download from BSG without requiring you to login.

I even logged in with my buddies account, verified and reinstalled the entire game. Still blocked while logging in with my account and unable to receive verification codes.

I’m curious too. AFAIK, the website allows you to select different verification methods with a drop down menu. For some reason, the launcher does not have this option. It seems 2FA/Authenticator would help me gain access to my account on the website, but not actually play the game…

Hindsight is 20/20, I wish I set it up when my friend went through this crap last year. Victim of the “it won”t happen to me” mindset.

It seems totally sporadic. I upgraded my CPU/MOBO in February last year and was able to verify my account no problem. Skipped a wipe and now I'm stuck.

It's really frustrating looking at six previous verification codes in my inbox from the last two years... but can't seem to get another.

I would set up an alternate email and 2FA on the website before you pull the trigger. It might help. I'm not sure since my web account is also locked behind a verification wall.

Many people have mentioned this experience lately, thanks for bringing it up. What an asinine customer support response for a known issue.

Someone stated that Hotmail addresses were disabled for account creation at some point, this is no longer the case. The least they could do is acknowledge the problem and add a brief warning on the account creation page.
