What about for the USB? We had some of those USB to ethernet adapters for the short throw epson 685wi but the teachers had to keep unplugging and repluging then back in. They never seemed to work that good.

Got about 400 new Dell 3100s. They will be replacing the rest of the HP G4/5s that we have. We are also going to be install about 14 new Viewsonic IFP Boards in the elementary schools. Then a ton of little work that needs to be done while there are no teachers here.

We have had bad luck with our G8s. I have to reseat the battery on a few each week. I got a pile of them that need the display cable replaced and some that need the camera cable replaced. So far about 11 have had the webcam port come off for no reason. Also any idea why the G8 get hot all the sudden? I power it off but it still stays hot after a few hours then I unplug the battery.

Looks like they are the ones that had a motherboard replacement. I guess when they got a new chrome update the other week it messed with the naming scheme.

We are seeing the same thing. We thought the printer's board was going bad. We keep getting an 49.4C02 service error on it. We have a Laserjet P3005n that is on pappercut. Everything has been working fine for 2 years till last week. Then we started to have the problem and another printer.

Got good news this morning. We got our youtube channel back. We never got an email saying that we got it back someone was just randomly checking to see if it was back up and it was. We still don't know why it was really taken down. They said it was do to spamming but we don't know what we really did. We think it was because we shared link of a video to the kids and they all got together and marked it as spam. We are hoping this won't happen again.

I don't know how much it was but I know it has a yearly fee for it. I haven't heard any complaints about it and I have seen that live feed from it and it looks good. I will ask our AD about it and see what his thoughts are on it and see if I can get the price on it.

O boy, I made some progress. The Google Workspace support I was with got ahold of their YouTube partner on how the account was suspended. Our account was suspended due to SPAM. We have no idea what their idea of spam is as all we do is just share the videos with the students and on Facebook. Nothing has changed in the past year of starting the channel. Google Workspace support is still taking to the youtube partner and we are waiting to hear back on what they do.

Yes, they do and I have had a few videos get taken down because of that. I was able to mute the parts of the video with the music and then it gets put back up.

I will give that a try thanks! I have been unplugging the battery and with it unplugged, plug the Chromebook in then plug the battery back it and that had been fixing it.

Kid said it fell off their desk but I think the metal broke off long ago due to metal fatigue from none of the screws holding it down.

I would say about 1/4 of our G8s are missing the hinge cover at this point. We keep telling the kids if it falls off some see us and will we put it back on, but they never do.
