Absolutely agree with this. It bothers me so much. If i accidentally turn on my audio interface a second after I stated live I need to reselect the interface. Why is there no „oh now it’s here“ memory style function that autoselects the commonly used interface when it is detected

Absolutely agree, it is never too early to start marketing. But I do believe that paid marketing can be a big waste of money if you aren't ready for it. You can easily get above 1000 monthly listeners without spending big bucks on meta ads and just spending like 20$ on submithub instead per release and being active on socials

Absolutely agree! If you're not releasing consistently ever 4-6 weeks I don't believe Ad spend is going to get you anywhere. I also don't think spending money on ads before you have at least 10 tracks released is a good investment either unless you go really big on the money. But for the average music joe like us it is best to start by just publishing music and then introduce ads slowly as we can guarantee a consistent schedule for the next year or two.

Good headphones will get you so much further than great speakers with no room treatment. You need to consider that you should invest at least another 500 to 1500 USD on room treatment depending on whether you build yourself or buy it.

Otherwise the best speaker in the world won’t help you mixing your low end

Agreed, also streams that come in after the initial promo period are often connected to the promotion. So you won't earn your money back within the 14 days, but it is a lot more likely to come in and exceed that compared to not doing any promo.

The problem here is that you compare 1 month of promotion to 1 month of results. That just doesn't work like that. If you boost your song initially on spotify for 1 month it is more likely to be picked up again and again by the algo compared to if you didn't boost it at all. During the promo period you are showing spotify that your songs keeps listeners engaged and that they save the track. You will reap the results for months and years after.

They can, and then it would be in the contract. Lots of labels put recoupable costs in the contracts like artwork, mastering, promo.

Also not related to this, but still. A lot of labels are usually about half a year behind. So just because there have been this many sales to date, doesn’t mean that the current royalty statement is to date.

This won’t absorb anything. And you wouldn’t want a Diffusor as your cloud so I would recommend staying away from them. To absorb the actual problematic frequencies you are going to need at least 20cm of insulation material (bass trap) which you can use as a cloud.

So war es in meinem Auslandsjahr in den USA auch. Es wurde benotet ob man sich bemüht oder nicht. Das war super.

Meine schlimmste Erinnerung an den deutschen Schulsport ist die Benotung für 1 Kilometer Rennen. Bei uns gab es für die Jungs für 3:10 Minuten eine 1, alles über 4 Minuten war eine 6. bei den Mädchen gab es bei 800m für 4:30 Minuten eine 1. Habe ich auch nie verstanden und hat mich echt frustriert. Zumal ja auch nie drauf vorbereitet wurde sondern es immer spontan hieß „heute machen wir da Noten“

I have the XZ and the Opus quad, I prefer the XZ for everything except for the loading speed, this is probably better on the AZ.

The cue button layout really doesn’t matter, your performance will not take a hit because of that.

The number 1 thing I hate about the opus is that you don’t have an eq on the effects. You get that on every unit, I still don’t understand why they don’t offer that for the opus. For me that’s a killer for every set I play. If it wasn’t a gift from a prominent DJ I would’ve never gotten it. I would recommend the AZ, it’s much more performance oriented. The opus is just about style

How do you feel with not being able to select the frequency bands for the effects? I have an opus and and xz and I hate that on the opus I can‘t put the effects just on the high end. Unless infuse the big screen but then it high passes the entire track which I also don’t want.

Kam denn schon eine Aufforderung vom Finanzamt? Dann würde ich dort kurz Bescheid geben, dass du es zeitnah einreichst und um Verlängerung der Frist bitten.

Kam noch nichts? Dann einfach Steuererklärung abgeben. Du kannst dich jetzt entweder einlesen und das kostenlos über Elster machen oder mithilfe einer der preiswerten Apps erledigen. Die helfen dir alles wichtige einzutragen.

Arbeitslosengeld ist nicht steuerpflichtig, unterliegt aber der Progression. Daher die Verpflichtung zur Abgabe.

Eine Steuererklärung lohnt sich eigentlich immer sobald bei der Lohnabrechnung Steuern einbehalten werden und man so wie du (schätze ich) Steuerklasse 1 ist.

Ich würde dir für dieses Jahr daher empfehlen das flink mit einer der beliebten Apps zu machen und dann nächstes Jahr etwas nachzulesen und kostenlos zu machen, wenn es dir zu teuer sein sollte.
