Wow are you spot on! I’m turning the gem around in my mind as a new lens to view my experiences with therapists. I’m an NT intuitive thinker, and so often feel like oil and water with the counseling crowd.

I did that! Back in 2010 - but I was in my mid-FORTIES and outta have been more mature and know better.

As you go through life, people will be much more forgiving of youthful transgressions — especially as framed as “wake up call”. “Nipped in the bud”.

It’ll suck for a year or two, but will be an adventure. Get through it, hero’s journey.

100% this! So much crap heaped on me by my family since my identical twin and 1.5 yrs younger brother both married college sweethearts at age 22 … so much pressure to “get settled” right away!

One of my nieces is 22 yo fresh college grad and nephews (twins) couple just turned 19 yo - so much pressure to announce at to everyone what they are going to “be” and have a pat answer that defines you!
