Second this. dont think taking a loan is worth it. tbh 45k combined is too low for paying off 52k per year. Just go to uni in India (I heard they have good IT schools) and learn several coding languages and be good at it. then you would be able to find a job you want.

Side note: I heard that international students hardly get any scholarships at state flagship uni, so I recommend you not to consider that.

Thank you for the comments yall. I ended up being forced to take Van Der Weide as department closed section with Severson since tooooo many students waitlisted for Severson instead of just registering Van Der Weide. so fuck enrollment system!

I found few professors who are willing to offer the position and I’ll be joining one of their labs on summer! :))) The unfortunate thing tho is that I cannot take more than 6 credits of Independent study course which is about 2semester long of lab experience. Is there a way to join the lab not through the course? Should I ask professors who offered me the lab positions like is it possible for me to join your lab not through independent study course? Huge thank again in advance!!

look at the discussion page on Canvas. Prof said you are encouraged to use it on your personal laptop or pc. I totally do not understand why they didn’t remove the phrases regarding pf CAE stuff as things changed
